2016 Replaced front lower control arms and hardware

Did you just call and ask, or did he look. Wheel well liner would be my first thought. I can’t recall if there is insulation on the inside of the liner - if so and its missing, you wouldn’t be able to tell without removing the wheel well liner.

2011 LR4 no longer overheating after sitting

Engine temperature sensors are designed to work when submerged in liquid (coolant). If it has no coolant left in it or you have a lot of air in the system, the temp sensors might not be registering an overheated condition.

2015 Coolant leak, not cross overs

I don’t see any drips. Looks like the vaccuum pump in your pic - coolant is not coming from that.

Might check your radiator as well. I feel like I’ve seen more reports of radiator leaks lately.

    Electrical issue/starting

Assume from your post that the megafuse checks out. When you say no power at all, do you mean no power to the starter or no power to the whole car, i.e, if you turn on the ignition (without pressing the brake), you get dash lights etc or just nothing?

    Clunking noise, only in gear

Sounds like spark-knock/preignition to me as well. Any chance you disconnected the knock sensors when removing the supercharger? I hit one of the sensor connectors when i did mine.

O2 sensor life, replacement strategy, fuel trim

Yes, I have a log with output voltages from sensor 3. The field reads: “oxygen sensor output voltage-bank 1-sensor 3” (same format for bank 2).

O2 sensor life, replacement strategy, fuel trim

I believe there is a bulletin on this problem and, if I recall correctly, landrover was handling the replacement for free. Something about water intrusion into the heater circuit.

    Fuel pump

It's possible they were reading the duty cycle. I believe the pump will run at about 45% at start-up when the system is calling for higher pressure (around 100 psi on the low pressure side). Once the car is running, I think that should drop to about 35% if I'm remembering correctly. If the...

    Help No power

No electrical power to the dash? So, when you get in and push the start/stop button without pushing the brake, no lights or anything? Or is it just no power to the starter? By central junction box, do you mean the junction box under the dash (passenger side) or the engine junction box in...

    LR4 Rough idle

Seems you have a code scanner, so I would check short and long fuel trims and fuel rail pressure (actual and desired) first. Check at idle and at maybe 1500 rpms and 2500 rpms, just holding the throttle steadyin park. Presumably you will see high positive fuel trims. If your rail pressure is...

Air in coolant that just won't go away

Not clear from your post why you think there is air in the system, but I’ll offer this info in case it helps you make sense of the situation: One temp sensor is on the hot side of the coolant system (located on the heater manifold/rear cross over) and one temp sensor is on the cool side of the...

LR4 "Gearbox not in Park" - Dial shifter stuck in Drive

If the solenoid works, are you sure it’s not your brake switch that’s gone bad. Not sure what your symptoms are, but if the brake switch is bad, it will prevent the shifter from turning.

    Where does this line connect?

Loos like the breather for the front differential (in which case it doesn’t connect to anything else). I have the scv6, which has the breather in a slightly different position, so not 100% sure, but that’s what it looks like to me.

high pitched noise - Posting new thread due to other being moderated

I believe Jimmy is referring to the PCV assembly (valve, cap, spring). If you have the V8, I guess there are two of those - with different springs as I understand it. To clarify on the vacuum at the oil filler hole, I believe this should be just a slight vacuum and maybe a barely noticeable...

high pitched noise - Posting new thread due to other being moderated

Could be the PCV even if not torn. Mine was making noises, so I replaced it and it was better for a while, but still does it sometimes. I’ve also read that a supecharger bypass valve can make this noise, or really just any passageway through which air is flowing to fill the vacuum in the...

    LR4 Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)

The TSB's are only useful to identify widespread problems. It's not a recall or anything like that, so you don't really respond to them. You can take your car in and tell them you found a TSB that looks related - that might clue them in more quickly to a problem - but they're still going to...

    LR4 Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)

@greiswig There was also an earlier TSB that called for replacement of all the o2 sensors https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2015/SB-10105583-9340.pdf. I believe Land Rover had a warranty program going for the o2 sensors on some models (velars I believe), and the o2 sensors at your mileage might...

could be a bad o2 sensor mid cat or post cat (sensor 2 or 3) but as stated above, you don’t reset the sensors. You should be able to pull the sensor volts off the data stream and see whats going on. also maybe check the sensors heater duty cycle. there was a tsb on the mid or post cat o2...

2010 V8 tinny rattle under acceleration

The transmission heat shield bracket is a common problem. Mine has cracked three times (although I repair it with a welder and I’m a terrible, terrible welder). It will feel secure when you try to move it, but it’s the bracket underneath that develops a crack and will vibrate when the...
