"Service Required" alert in my display

I've had mine on since it had 15k miles on it as i've been servicing it myself since then. That message doesn't even bother me anymore.

    LR4 tyre change

Lol all nonsense IMO. You'll be fine running new different rubber in the fronts and your semi worn Goodyears in the rear. It's not like the truck will be sitting 2 inches higher in the front or vice versa.

so are you saying you get better fuel efficiency when driving in sport mode??

Green/Orange/Factory LCA Bushings from Atlantic British?

I think ill just buy the stock arm assembly with the original bushings. I'm not going to take the risk of altering the ride in a distasteful way as i love how it feels currently. Anymore stiffness and i don't think ill be much of a fan. I guess ill just have to change them again at 140k miles or so.

    AC control knobs getting sticky.

Same here, i used goo gone and the rubberized coating/feel is gone, but it looks brand new. That's all that really mattered to me. It's not that big a deal if you ever lose grip of it while configuring the air...big deal.

Green/Orange/Factory LCA Bushings from Atlantic British?

Hey everyone, i have a 2011 LR4 with 76k miles on it. I am going to work on both sides of the lower control arm pretty soon. Upon research on this forum and Atlantic British, the idea is i either buy the bushings and press the old ones out and replace with the Orange ones that Atlantic British...

Rattling noise from drivers side likely rear

I had a rattling i thought was coming from the rear seats for months. Every single time i went over a bump i would hear the rattle. It finally occurred to me one day that it was the rear seat belt behind the front passenger seat that was rattling against the plastic panel of the car. Something...

Living up to its unreliable history

I have a 2011MY i’ve owned since late 2010. I’ve done a water pump, one suspension airbag on the passenger front side, a few brake jobs, and a seat belt that was ALL covered under the factory warranty. Outside of warranty knock on wood* i’ve done absolutly nothing lol. So far so good. I do...

    Gearbox Fault

Hey everyone thanks for all of the input. You all hit it on the nail and special thanks for the link to the parts. I ended up purchasing the gear bush kit from atlantic and installed them on the truck today. The old one was corroded like crazy. I’m guessing from the road salt. The cable appears...

    Gearbox Fault

Hey mike, I didn’t notice any leaks under the truck. The gear shift lever feels more stiffer than usual when selecting gears. One thing i did notice is that there is a lot of play between neutral and drive. It doesn’t “lock” sort of speak into drive. It feels as if neutral and drive is one gear...

    Gearbox Fault

hey everyone, I have a MY2011 lr4 and recently within the past few days i noticed the gear shift lever is more stiffer than usual. Also it doesn’t “lock” into place when shifting into drive. I would select Drive and it would show D in the cluster, but after driving for a few blocks the D would...

    Brake Pad Wear Sensor Question

NICE!! Thanks a lot buddy. I took the front driver side tire off. Turns out there was play in the wire and it was rubbing on something in there. The side of the wire was worn away.

    Brake Pad Wear Sensor Question

Hey all, I did my brakes myself about 6k miles ago and today i got the brake pad worn message up on the cluster. I checked the pads and they have tons of life on them. I checked the brake fluid resevoir and everything is topped up. It’s definintely a sensor issue. It comes off upon restart of...

    p0172 and p0175 running rich

Well it's a good bet that it's one of the MAF sensors. One bad one would trigger the codes. Just replace both with OEM ones since you can't pinpoint which one is the bad one. If not then you have an oxygen sensor issue, but my bet is the MAF sensor. It's the cheapest thing you could replace...

    Service questions - 64k

That's about right. I average 8mpg-12ish in Queens, NY. If i'm on the highway doing 65ish with a slight throttle and no braking for a long stretch i can hit up to 19mpg. Heck i've even got 21mpg at times.

    Indy shop/Private Mechanics in NYC?

I would try it, but i don't even have jack stands, a pumping tool to put the oil in, and i heard the front skid plate is hell to get off. Maybe if i hear the prices to do the job, it'll motivate me to do it myself LOL.

They entail wasting money at the dealer...not needed if you have no idling issues.

    p0172 and p0175 running rich

I had the same exact issue with my LR4 back when it had 70k miles. I removed both MAF sensors and cleaned them with MAF cleaner. At around 71k miles the codes came back. I cleaned again and it was all good again until 73k miles. Then it occurred to me that around 68k miles i dropped 2 K&N air...

    Indy shop/Private Mechanics in NYC?

Hello all, I have a 2011 LR4 with 74k miles. I've always had previous issues with my landy handled by the Glen Cove dealership out in Long Island. Now that i'm out of a warranty and I need the upcoming 75k differential and transfer case fluid swap done, can anyone recommend a good indy shop or...
