Offroad Open House for Land Rovers - Mission Viejo, CA

Why always this thread with this stuff?

Help on a possible problematic LR3 purchase.

Most of that stuff is normal quirky stuff. The alignments are probably due the crappy good-for-years on it. But the compressor thing I would definately check into. Anything fixed once maybe ok, fixed four times look out!

    Rovertym Announces LR3 Front Bumper!

Nice look! Anybody know when the lift will be available?

    Height Sensor Mod

Thanks Houm. I wanted to see them from the front or back of the truck for a different perspective. The shot above did the trick. Thanks again. DD

    Safari Guard

That's great! It's good to see that there is starting to be a little competition among companies who make bumpers, rock sliders ect. More choices and better prices for us.

Boaz, they also said that they will be out with a gas tank skid and lift options for the LR3. I'm not holding my breath on these items so the rod mod will have to do until then. I am also interested in what the underside of that slider looks like.

    Height Sensor Mod

Houm, did you want to attach a pic to that last post? I still would like to see a clear pic of how the MT/R looks on your rig.

    Height Sensor Mod

Yep, I saw that new MT/R and it looks cool. Duratrac was the other and it looks better for the road but I think it is only 2-ply on the sidewalls. Maybe I'll wait a little bit longer, it seems like they are coming out with new tire to fit our rigs every couple of months. Thanks for the info...

    Height Sensor Mod

Yes! Now I remember. Manual super extended with rod mod..bad. Thanks for the refresher Houm. I believe I will start shopping 275/65's as well. Really like your M/T's, but I don't have a second set of wheels and tires to swap during road time. Hope there is an AT tire in this size with a...

    Height Sensor Mod

Put the new rods on today an am quite pleased. I have a couple questions for the guys who already run these. What happens when you are in the new offroad height and you get high centered? Does it still go into yet another extended mode. And from this new extended mode is there still a...

Will Toyo Oc 285/60 Fit In The Lr3 Spare Compartment

Did not have to remove anything. It does stick out a couple of inches. String it up and see for yourself. Two things if you are going to mount your spare underneath. 1. You have to pull it out and put it somewhere else before you go out onto the trail. 2. You cannot use the hitch receiver...

Will Toyo Oc 285/60 Fit In The Lr3 Spare Compartment

I run Toyo Open Countrys 285/60-18. Full size spare fits underneath fully inflated. You do have to get under the truck and give it a shove or two.

Thanks drz, look forward to getting a little more clearance on demand.

    Height Sensor Mod

Thanks, I understand 10-12mm is the standard. Also is there any problems with going into super-extended mode with this mod??

    Height Sensor Mod

Got my hands on a set today. I just said F*#k it and went to the dealer. Got them for $125.00 and have dropped them off in capable hands for modification and duplication. Thanks for the link PicnSav, I plan to have something similar built with adjustable rod and locknut. Houm it's funny you said...

    MT/R 19 finally here??

Nice!! Let us know how they performed.

285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers, Access and Crawl mode..

Houm, my wire bundles were torn up pretty good with my moderately aggresive Open Countrys. I can only imagine what those MTR's would do. Speaking of your MTR's could you give us a follow up on how those are working out for you? Maybe on one of the tire threads? Thanks DD

285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers, Access and Crawl mode..

Yep, just like Mr. Woods said. I had to do the plate thing because I did not have much slack in the lines. But if you do, it's easier to just tie them up out of the way. Good luck.

285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers, Access and Crawl mode..

This is my 06. I believe these wires are for the height sensors (upper set of wires). I almost rubbed mine out a couple of trails ago. I'm lucky to have a skilled friend who bolted this plate on for me. It will protect the wires no matter what size tires I'm running. I would hate to break...

    Spare Tire ???

Having not run the Coopers I couldn't tell you how far you should air them down. I can tell you that I run Toyo Open Country A/Ts 285/60-18 and my spare fit under the truck just fine. It required a little bit of shoving here and there, but I made it work. One down side to pushing a tire that...

    Spare Tire ???

Ryan, a swing out tire carrier is a good option. I really like mine. But if you don't want to spend the $$ on one I would just air your spare down a little and just stuff it up underneath and get a portable air comppressor to air it up when you need it. I did this...
