    Jerry Cans and Holders

+1 for expedition exchange. Sadly, they do not stock a ton of lr4 specific products (which is probably more related to the lack of options out there rather than a decision that they have made), but EE has an amazing list of products for the offroader. I bought my suspension lift, front bumper...

    Heavy Duty (HD) option

I am sure you could find a use for HDP at HHSVRA! Especially with your new tires.

    Heavy Duty (HD) option

I figured. So, you and alex (PR diesel lr4 with 18in wheels) have just jumped to the top of my envy list....px?

    Heavy Duty (HD) option

I can confirm that inventory for the hdp is very low. My dealer had a tough time finding anything. I also searched the online inventory for the configuration I wanted. Very rough guess, less than 5% of the vehicles have it. Geography also plays a bit of a part. Colorado had a few, SoCal had...

    Yakima or Thule Box

So, the 18cf sky box isn't too long? It doesn't interfere with the rear door opening all the way? How about hitch mounted bike racks? I recently purchased the non swing Thule apex carrier. For the jeep, I could open the top portion of the rear door without moving the rack, and I could tilt...

    Yakima or Thule Box

What is the longest yakima or thule box you can put on top of a lr4 before it interferes with the rear hatch? Any preference on mounting set ups? Thule or Yakima, aeroblade/whisperbar, standard, LR OEM, etc Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Ebony interior

How have the black/ebony interiors held up? Excessive fading/cracking? I prefer black, but the tanned/ebony interior might hold up better. In the market for a new LR, thanks for any feedback Sorry for the duplicate post (lr4 forum)

    ebony interior

Has anyone had an ebony interior for a few years? How does it wear? Curious about any fading or if its showing any cracks. I prefer the look, but the nice thing about the lighter colors is that it sometimes shows wear a bit better. Thank you.

    buying a new lr4

So, buyback offer came in from Chrysler...very fair. I can now move forward! Unless I get lucky on inventory, my guess is I will be preordering. Need to find out cutoff/open date for 2012/2013 models. You are right though, unless i take a bit of risk, I am not really going to earn much...

    buying a new lr4

Horatio8, Thanks, I appreciate the tips. So, looking at the current lease deal, we have the following: msrp: 55,475 (but i believe they market adjust it down to 53,752, which is the # I use in the calculation) term: 39 months cap reduction: 3,000 purchase: 28.4k payments: 699 all numbers...

    buying a new lr4

Sorry for going on and on, but I wonder if I was off base on my previous thoughts about leases. If my throught process is correct, on a lease, you are essentially paying for the depreciation, interest and profit during the term. Consequently, the lower the % of the buyout is compared to the...

Journey of Discovery - LR4 specs

Having a 19in wheel option with the Zeon's is certainly more affordable! You really have to be committed to going the swing away option. What is the pricing on the rasta? I thought I read around 1.2k or so with shipping, plus, if you pay someone, probably a few hundred more for installation...

    buying a new lr4

It wasn't meant as criticism, it was simply an observation. If you don't need true off road ability, you have allot more options. I think guaranteeing you can hit the first run of the day is important! But, as we all know, lr's are not for everyone. And there is nothing wrong with wanting a...

    buying a new lr4

So, in my area, premium is $4.35 per gallon, diesel is $4.29...so per gallon its essentially a wash. I believe the reason the SDV6 is not sold in california is due to emissions (california is stricter than most states), obviously their gas engines make the grade. I do, however, wonder how much...

    buying a new lr4

Close to 30mpg on the freeway, obviously much extended range, tons of torque at the low end, and, most importantly, you always want what you can't have :)

    buying a new lr4

Agreed, but if you lease, that could cause you to pause on getting a lot of vehicle mods (skid plates, those 18 inch wheels we lust after, the D4 nameplate we would steal from Alex's vehicle, etc) if you plan to return the truck. Although, i wonder if i could have them add a few of those...

    buying a new lr4

I shudder to think what they would do to me if i tried to park my car on the beach in California like you did...ok, another thing to envy about panama..you even get the right name on the car...none of this lr4 nonsense...as a 15 year owner of a D1, I am insulted that they felt the need to rename...
