Tablet Infotainment replacement
Well, I guess I'll find out. I went to Aliexpress and better units were about half as expensive as on Ebay. So for $580 + $71 shipping I'm getting an 8 core unit with 128G via the link in the OP's post. Hope it is worth the gamble. I haven't bought anything straight from a supplier in China before. -

That looks sharp, if a little overpriced for the hardware. Then again, you're paying mostly for the developer and a limited run. I'm wondering - how much of the OEM functionality is retained? e.g. the 4x4 screen, views of different cameras (trigger reverse camera when shift into R), etc.? -... -

Yeah, that'd be nice. Sadly, I haven't really seen anything. But that doesn't mean it isn't a useful tool...just difficult to use without poking around and trying to figure it out. -
Another Coolant pass over issue
Short answer: no. The parts in question allow coolant to flow from one head to the other and back, from what I can tell. You'd be preventing the heads from getting coolant. -

If it were me, I'd be checking to make sure that the calipers can all move freely. Freely both in terms of how they move on the caliper pins (good high temp grease there, rubber boots not binding, etc.) and that the pistons themselves are moving well. Thanks again. Still trying to figure out how you're using this. It doesn't say whether this is NC or NO (normally open), but most relays are the latter. So you have to flip a switch in your cab to get power to the winch? And I didn't see anything about thermal protection here, either. -

@djkaosone I'm wondering what it is you're isolating with this relay, and how? Are you just using it as a thermal fuse? I'd expect the controller to have its own relays, so... Basically, I'm not following. ;) -

I believe what I've read here indicates that it is largely the lower front control arms that tend to go south, at least at lower mileages like mine (50k). And it even tends to be the rear bushing that goes bad first. So I plan to replace those, likely with poly bushing assemblies if I can find... -
Moab trails with rooftop tent?
Yeah, I had a 1990. I'd put a Toyota tranny in it with two Marlin crawler transfer cases in it, and did a bunch of suspension work to get things moving more freely, plus the traction difs. That thing was amazing. But too small for a family. -

I have the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform on their backbone mounts. It works pretty well, doesn't stick up a lot, and is very flexible. The downside is that I think the channels are really wider than they need to be, and it's pretty heavy, and I had to make an air deflector for it. -

I was thinking about Hell’s Revenge, Fins & Things, Poison Spider.? I remember sections of those that are steep enough that you can’t always control your speed as much as you’d like, and you have to be ready for a dynamic descent. -
