2013 LR4 (v8) coolant leak
JLR has produced aluminum crossover pipes for the 3.0v6 but the NA v8 still uses the plastic pipes unless you want to go aftermarket [mixed reviews on them]. I would use the jlr plastic pipes and also use JLR pump. while you are in there, replace the heater manifold as well [rear crossover] -

Just thought i'd share. son took his 2011 LR4 hse lux v8 from the east coast last month to california, oregon, wa, back through wyoming etc and back to the east coast driving it 8500 miles. only issue was a dead battery in northern ca. took 30 days... -

ok, he replaced the battery on Friday Morning. all issues resolved themselves. unfortunately, he is 2200 miles away from here an the GAP tool to reset BCM to new battery but all seems ok according to his call. -

Thanks, agreed. He will replace battery this morning and i am hopeful that will solve it. I have a GAP IId but it is here on the east coast. He has a generic code reader with him so if light remains, i will ask him to read code and try reset. THanks -

here in NC, safelite installed a pilkington windscreen [heated, tinted] etc. after son had a rock break it in drivers sight line through insurance. when they arrived they also brought and installed new a pillar trims as well. -

2016 low brake fluid warning after long non-use
my expectation is that your brake lines are rusted especially if you live in a road salt area. the main lines running near the parking brake module like to rust on these vehicles and will lose a little fluid there over time but not enough to drip on driveway..they will eventually fail... -

i always vacuum fill my 2011. You must have a leak somewhere or the tool is not engaging properly in the bottle opening to seal up properly. -

imho, the na v8 is superior. a little more power, same weight [basically], easier to service those plastic pipes without the SC. mileage about the same and it just cruises more relaxed. none of the lr4s are worth much now in value as they are basically fully depriciated even though some owners... -

thoughts on supercharged 3.0v6 vs. ingenium 3.0I6/48v
Still looking for a D5. I orignally thought that i would only consider the 21+ with the ingenium 6 mild hybrid boost. I have driven a couple and the powerplant is silky smooth and powerful. I was offput a little on the SCv6 since we own an LR4..dont like the plastic cooling pipes, timing chain...- ugmw177

indicative off a small leak in the front circuit. As per above instructions, pull the EAS fuse and let sit overnight. If both fronts drop, suspect the front block. if one side only drops suspect the strut on that side or possible voss connections. at that point, soapy water on all connections... -
