Top Speed - How fast have you gone?
The 3.0 TDV6 diesel matched to the glorious ZF 8 speed box is ok - ie very stable, if very thirsty - at 125 mph for prolonged periods on the long roads in Germany (with no speed limit). Edit - should add that the speedo says 125; the GPS says about 112 mph. -

Guys, In my quest to find a nice LR3, I've found (by accident) an early LR3 SE with low miles (mid 50s) but which turned out to have 5 seats not 7. Whilst I want 7, I'm not massively hard over on it, but I do need to be able to install the cargo barrier (not sure of the term used in the US... -

E-brake lock-up!!!
The trick to avoiding the problem is regular use of the EPB and regular stripping and servicing of the brake parts on the rear wheels, especially after off-roading. The actuator is very expensive and a pain to replace as has been noted. To give an example, the job done by a good indy in the UK... -

There are a number of cars out there at far lower mileage. Roverman - thanks. I've become pretty familiar with these over the years having owned a few, but haven't had much experience of the V8. The mileage thing is really only an issue for condition. I have no qualms about higher mileage... -
