    As long as your steering wheel has the controls you have the bluetooth. You should be able to find the bluetooth device by searching with your phone while the truck is on. Just like finding a new earpiece. You shouldnt really have to hit any controls on the console.

It attaches to the phone just like one of the little bluetooth ear pieces, add it to your phone's trusted devices and set it to automatically connect.     What exactly are you trying to do. Attach your phone to the car or save names and numbers? The 05-07 only store names via the voice command. You hit the voice button and say "store name" then when it asks give it the name, then the number.

    Getting behind it will be the hardest part. Thats why I would just go buy a whole bag of nuts and bolts so when you drop them you can just grab another lol. That and one of those little magnetic tool retrievers might come in handy.

    Ouch. Yeah best bet is to get behind it and try to get the nut back on the bolt. Go to the hardware store and get some spare parts that will fit on the particular nut/bolt you are using.
