    Well I saw a Ford Mustang on the top end of Gold Camp road near 67/81 that had come UP from the Srings. Sooooo... if a RWD sports car can make it from the Springs to Victor.

    I went with a friend from work who has a Jeep. He had his wife and son with him. We started by Canon City headed north on Shelf rd, ate lunch in Cripple Creek, took Gold Camp rd. back to the Springs. Left at 10 AM, back at 3 PM.

    Passing would be pretty tight. Fortunately most of the traffic moves in one direction because the scenery is better on the way up.

    I did Shelf road with a some friends from work on the 13th. Was a nice drive, pretty scenic and not too difficult. Put a video in the vids section. Could do a loop around there and over Gold Camp easily.

    New tires cost less than a new car. The opinion of some owners is that the goodyear tires that come on these vehicles are not that good.

    If you have never replaced the tires and they are starting to get worn it is probably time to do that. Even if that is not the source of the problem it is a good place to start.

    Mine has that little gap too, it is smaller than yours though. The holes cut in the bumper are a pain in the a$$ and they are a little bigger than the mount on mine as well. I actually missed the mark by a little bit and had to file some of the bumper away. I would suggest loosening the bottom...

    As I stated before I am interested, I havent seen my schedule with the army yet as I just reported to Ft. Carson... But as long as I am not required to work on whatever particular weekend consider me in. I have been partway up Rampart and it is scenic but IMHO I like the Gold Camp Road idea...

    I hate to be that guy to start the millionth tire thread but I saw no info on these so far. They wanted $160/tire I believe with installation and everything so about the same as anything else.

    Well I live about 10 minutes from Old Stage rd and the beginning of Gold Camp rd and the weather still looks like it will be pretty good on saturday. Chilly, mid-40s but no precipitation or anything. Even if it is just cruising the dirt road a little, If anyone is in we should meet somewhere nearby.

    My sister in her VW Jetta could do Rampart. I am not going to mess with eagle rock or saran wrap there are too many ways to mess your truck up. The Bull Park road is like 2/5 difficulty those others are like 4/5 or 5/5 lol. I think its a good choice to explore the capabilities of the rover...
