SYA Kit Owners - measurement help

My current measurements are roughly 20 3/4" Front and 21 1/4" Rear, the front feels great but the rear still bottoms out too easily. I can't drive down a bumpy road without going into off road height. Beginning to wonder if I got the wrong Arnotts.

SYA Kit Owners - measurement help

Hi All, Can anyone with an SYA kit installed give me their measurements (front and rear) from center of wheel to fender well above? I’m trying to double check mine against other installs with an actual measurement of the vehicle rather than computer settings. Mine is almost dialed in but still...

When is it time to say goodbye?

I spent just about $10k US in 2021 lol. I did a bunch of major items and lifted it though. You get to 140k miles or so and there can be a few heavy lifts. Could have bought a rubicon-ready Jeep for that but I’d rather put it into my LR4. Not saying it makes sense..,

Closest ours has come to stranding us was the rear crossover failing right after my wife pulled into the driveway, dumped all the coolant in the road right at the end of the driveway. This was in the first 6 months of ownership and I knew nothing about that particular issue, had no idea how...

When is it time to say goodbye?

Keeping mine until it blows up pretty much. The maintenance has been ridiculous, I've spent more on this one vehicle than every other car I've owned over 30 years combined. At 140,000 miles now we have switched over to driving it only for fun trips rather than day to day, we still like driving...

    LR4 Recall...

I kept smelling fuel when getting out after driving and decided to take it in, the shop told me this was a common issue (3 years ago or so). This is what they did:

New air struts and Lucky 8 SYA kit

This is where I keep getting confused. If you're calibrating by measuring from center of the wheel hub to the fender flare, why do the sensor rod lengths matter? Just for a number to work with lets say the stock measurement is 400mm. If you add the 2" SYA kit that adds apx 51mm. Calibrate at...

New air struts and Lucky 8 SYA kit

This is the first I’ve heard of issues with the arnotts personally. When I told the shop what I was getting they said they put them on all the time. This was their first SYA kit though and it has been a bit challenging. We drove it 60 miles down to Hollister hills and spent the day wheeling a...

New air struts and Lucky 8 SYA kit

For mine I just had to re-calibrate the suspension higher, it was too low. Ride is fine now. I'm still having stability control issues though and it's at the shop now being calibrated a little lower. They also messed up the alignment which may be causing some of that, too much positive camber. I...

I replaced mine with a reconditioned one, the whole thing had failed. It was $700-800 installed a few years ago.

New Recall Alert : Fuel System

Got my letter this week, now I have to wait for that second one. The indy shop that did the repair for me a couple years ago reached out on their own and actually texted me a copy of their invoice for the work, very cool of them. It was a bit over $900 that I will be happy to have reimbursed. LR...

    255/65/19 DuraTrac

Yeah, I need to bite the bullet and do that. I've been busy with a massive home remodel and haven't wanted to spend the money on top of everything I'm already doing. Considering it cost about $5K (including new Arnotts all the way around) I shouldn't worry about a few hundred for it.

    255/65/19 DuraTrac

Ride is good, I need to recalibrate the suspension as I think it's set too high right now. I don't have a GAP tool so I had the shop do it at +63mm following some advice from this forum. I get the stability control intervening regularly on twisty mountain roads, I live in the mountains so...

SYA Kit, Oversize Tires and Stability Control

Sounds like I'm going to have to pick up an IID tool. I've put so much money into that truck this year I was trying to avoid it though I'd love to have one. I'm also going to reach out to Lucky 8, it's pretty weird that they have no recommendations on this considering it's their kit.

SYA Kit, Oversize Tires and Stability Control

Here's the original thread: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/lucky-8-sya-kit-problem.42939/ If my shop did it correctly it's calibrated at +64mm. "What it needs to be calibrated at: Front: 530mm Rear: 549mm Measured from the center of the wheel (think the center of the axle) to...

SYA Kit, Oversize Tires and Stability Control

I'm still having trouble getting my brain wrapped around the calibration with this kit. I'll have to find my original thread to get the exact number but it was calibrated following Michael Gain's advice which I believe was +63 mm. This was done with the spacers and 2.5" lift rods in place. Are...
