770lbs isn't that much weight. Certainly not enough to shear off the bolt that extends from the body of the receiver. -

I believe that small pin gets pushed down when you insert the hitch receiver into into its slot on the truck. The pin then activates the large bolt that locks the receiver in place. I've used mine a few times now (but only for a bike carrier), and it's a pretty neat little device. -

Fuel tank capacity- Sucks
Update: Just got the fuel light to come on, and I'm at 270 miles. Mostly city driving, but with a highway trip mixed in there. Seems on par with the ol' Xterra. I'll take it. -

Fuel tank capacity- Sucks
Have you guys noticed if the vehicle drives differently once the empty warning comes on? I've only had it come on once, and I might be paranoid, but it seemed to be a little sluggish with the light on. As of the truck was trying to conserve its resources and not let me drive with a heavy foot. -

How many miles are you guys getting out of a tank? I'm moving over from a Nissan Xterra, and I could get 270 miles in mostly city driving on one tank. The Nissan tank is smaller, and it's MPG only slightly higher. I'm really hoping that I can get at least that 270 out of tank in the LR4 with... -

Fun update from earlier: After I got the streaming to work, the Satellite Radio icon completely disappeared. A shut down of the vehicle and restart brought it back. Good times. -

Dumb question from a new guy: Cupholders!
Got it! Used a towel to help with my grip and gave it a good yank. Tossed it in the sink with hot water and soap. Soon enough, the water turned a lovely coffee brown and the cupholders popped right out. Cleaned everything up, and now we're good to go. Sometimes it's the little things in life... -
