Are you sure that was not for LR3? One of the things changed for the LR4 was some dimensions (roll angles, knuckle, etc for the LR4 to give better handling) -

Sounds plasticky as well so agree with the other replies. 11k is 17.5kms on an oil change interval. Don't do that again lol. About double of what is reasonable. -

$350 for a proper new Denso and more time if that stupid little plastic tab is corroded on but yeah turning your own wrenches helps. The alternator for my LR4 was less than my Ridgeline! (both new Densos) \ -
