There are several 18" wheels that work without a spacer. Tuffant alloy or steel, Compomotive, the 18-inch wheels that come on the new Defender, Evo Corse, AlphaEquipt, as well as some others. There is a thread on here that has several in it. -

Have you or anyone else had the wheels off for any reason lately? If so, check that the dust shields inside both of the front brake rotors haven't gotten bent a little in towards the rotors. I've had that happen and it makes a sound similar to what you describe. Could also maybe be the wheel... -

Found the problem today. Tore into the liftgate. Removed the lower trim on the inside of the lifgate, which reveals the connector for the wiring that supplies the things inside the rear handle (liftgate release, license plate lights, and backup camera). The new cheapo Amazon liftgate switch... -

Additionally, if you ever take it in to get aligned somewhere that is not a Land Rover dealer, put it in "tight tolerance mode" before you hand it over. That same warning message will appear on your dash. -

Not sure what the problem is. Customers generally can't calibrate their own suspension. It's going to be "not in customer mode" while it's in calibration mode. That's a warning for the Land Rover techs to put things back to normal before they toss the keys back to the owner. -

Same color. Both the existing wires are black, and the wires on the new switch are both black. Just to be safe, though, I tried running the new switch either way, with the same result. Also checked codes, and there are none. There is no fuse I can find that is directed at the liftgate... -

Yeah, the rear hatch button on the keyfob opens it 100% of the time. It's weird to do it that way, because you've got to be pulling on the liftgate the same time as you press the keyfob. But it works. -

Yeah, they are the same. If you'd really like to save money, you can order the OE units from the UK (assuming you are in the US) from a place like LR Direct. But if you are at your dealer, the S.S. Save Money set sail a long, long time ago. -

The switches are all plastic, so I don't think they ground anywhere themselves. That, and te new switch is the exact same as the old one. The only exception is the wires seem to be a slightly thicker gauge on the newer one, and the wires on the new one wound up in a connector that isn't in the... -

I should add that when the new switch did not work, I took it off. Thinking the switch just creates continuity between two wires, I then touched the stripped end of the two liftgate wires together (the ones that used to go to the old switch) to see if it did anything. And no, it did not. I... -

Got the new switch today. Ordered the one I linked above. There isn't a matching connector inside the rear liftgate so you are required to cut and splice. And after all that, it does not work. No idea what's going on. It's the correct, official Land Rover switch. The rear liftgate still... -
LR4 Front coolant outlet tube BS
Yeah, the symptoms they saw after the coolant outlet tube install jive with air in the cooling system. The LR4's cooling system can be a bear to bleed without a vacuum bleeder. If they did it the old fashioned way, they may have missed a bleed port and left some air in the system.
