LR4 Starting Problem
The only problem I have seen on the LR4, my current 750 and previous A8 (all with keyless start) was that on occasion, the car woud say that the smart key wasn't found. If you hold up the key to the bottom or side of the steering column, this typically resolves this. Must be some sort of RF... -

Oil level check
US LR4's do have the electronic dipstick feature. My recommendation is to show it to the service rep when you bring it in for an oil change. -

Luckily I haven't had this happen to me (yet!) ... next time it happens, take a picture to document it. If you still can get it resolved, escallate to Land Rover Corporate. -

Satellite radio problems, & AM radio problems
I agree satelite radio reception and stability is HORRIBLE on the LR4. I've had Sat Radio on the last 3 cars, and the LR4 is WAY too sensitive. I think I loose signal if a Lady Bug flys over the sat antenna on my LR! Changing channels is also way too laggy. I believe that this is due to the... -

Also, to add. Do NOT touch the bulb surface as shown in the video. Oils from your hands / fingers can damage the bulb and shorten it's life span. Wear clean cotton gloves when you get to the step on handling the bulbs. Because the headlight assembly completly comes out, I simply brought it... -

Rear Windshield
You can ALWAYS demand that they use OEM parts. I'd presume that because the car is relatively low volume that only OEM (Genuine Land Rover) glass exists. I haven't checked, but typically there is a watermark on the glass that shows the manufacturer. I'll need to look in the daylight to see if... -

New Rubber Mats
Had the same problem here ... it does go away ... either take them out and let them air out or iif your LR is garaged, just open all the windows. I did this and the odor went away in a week. -

I agree ... this is typically the case ... it appears the the LR bean counters swizled options / features to squeeze as much as they can out of their customers. Really, charging $75 for a cable that costs a few bux (for 2011) ... not giving signature lighting for 2010 non-lux .. even thought... -

What is the mileage delta you've seen between regular vs premium? The REAL savings should be calculated as dollars per mile, not miles per gallon. Here in So Calif, the delta between regular and premium is about 20 cents. With regular in my area at $3.80, thats aprox 5% premium for premium... -
