Attended: Dealer Sponsored offroad event !

That is so cool! I sure would like to live on the front range some day. Well, except for all the people, and traffic, and polution, and infrastructure head aches... Well, I would still love to be that close to the mountains some day. The pictures were great! Rob

    LR4 Off Road Video

Buckingham Blue is kicking my but! I had a black car that I bought new in 1993 and the 7 years I owned it I was a slave to the paint. If I would have had another option at the time of purchase I would have chose it. None of the other LR4s had the options I wanted or were below the HSE LUX...

In search of dream range rover

Hi, Welcome to the forum! The best Range Rover is the one that has the most warranty left on it. Of course I'm joking... You kind of have to decide what year range looks the best to you. Some people really like the look of the classic while others think the current...

    oil leak ?

That's crazy! They must not have even looked at the issue and just assumed it was the pan gasket and not related to the plug. Find a new place to work on it from now on. Rob

No more defender... LRX replaces the defender? tell me what you think

How is this crap getting on the board? I guess this is the new way of advertising???? I can't imagine that they will replace the Defender with this vehicle. Just doesn't make sense.

    Tire-General Grabber AT2,

Sorry, I had missed you asked about a 2008 LR3 and not the LR4. Yep, should fit no problem. Rob

    Hitch Receiver Compatibility

Hi, I think the guys in the LR3 forum have hashed this out too. It seems that some of them wanted to have a heavier wieght on the hitch and decided that was a better way to go, and it certianly helped that it was cheaper. To me I like the idea of have it removable and factory correct...

    Tire-General Grabber AT2,

The bolt pattern is the same and the offset is correct. I suspect that the 18" wheels are hub-centric on the LR4 too. The real problem is that the brakes, and more to the point the calipers are so massive in the LR4 to grab the new larger disc for 2010, that the 18" wheel will not fit over the...

    Tire-General Grabber AT2,

I haven't been able to verify it, but based on what I can see I don't think the 18" LR wheels will fit on the new LR4. The new brakes are huge!

    Oil Changes and Servies??

Hi, I just meant that the newest trucks have yet another engine that has no drain plug and a cartige style filter that requires special tools and equipment to change. Since this one is an older model year, it's not important for his question. Rob

    Tire-General Grabber AT2,

There just aren't that many good choices for the 19" wheels out there. I'm going to have to move up to the 20" so I can find some good tire offerings. The LR4s changed the brakes, and I don't believe you can get an 18" wheel to clear the calipers. For the 18" wheels, you should have a lot...

    Factory crossbars

Hi, I'm not sure if they are fragile or not, but I really appreciate the heads up. I think I will go with Thule or Yakima bars instead. Rob

Yikes! I can't believe you had both the passanger wheels off the ground and didn't get any body damage. Looks like it would have been a fun ride. Sliders for me! Rob

    LR4 Off Road Video

Great video! I had my son video our event too but didn't think anyone would be that interested in me driving through the woods and up and down a few hills. Maybe I will have to get him to post it for me. Luck for you, you have white and I bet you didn't notice the new pin-strips you got...

    Hitch Receiver Compatibility

A couple of other things I should have pointed out: Here is a link to the part you want for the LR4: http://bputah.com/LR3/Land_Range_Rover_Sport_LR3_Tow_Hitch_Receiver_KBN500023.html Make sure that you are getting the newest version of the reciever attachment. There is really nothing...

    Hitch Receiver Compatibility

Hello, Yes, the reciever is set up to accept a standard 2" type of bar. I use mine for various items: Hitch mounted cargo carrier, bike rack and d'ring shackle. If you plan to tow something, make sure you read the manual on the limitations. The reciever is makered with a 550 pound...

    Resale value for LR4

Hi all, I know I just got the LR4 about 2 months ago and I'm in it for the long haul but has anyone really thought about resale value? This is my first Land Rover and I love it dearly, but the projections don't look good for remaining value at the end of my 60 months. Kelly Blue Book...

    Howdy

Still a great find, and even at $2700 it would have been a great deal. Rob
