Resale value for LR4

Hi all,

I know I just got the LR4 about 2 months ago and I'm in it for the long haul but has anyone really thought about resale value? This is my first Land Rover and I love it dearly, but the projections don't look good for remaining value at the end of my 60 months. Kelly Blue Book suggests that it will retain about 28% of it's value at that point. My 2005 Nissan Pathfinder LE 4x4 had a sticker of $33,500 (we paid less of course) when we bought it in October of 2004. When we traded it in on the LR4, we still got $16,000 for it.

Anyone with an LR3 that traded up for the LR4? How was market value on your truck?

I don't have an LR4 yet, but dealer says my 2005 LR3 HSE with 30,000 miles on the clock is worth $22,000. So 5 years on its worth a touch over 1/3 original cost.

Yup, Rovers get hammered. One of the worst resale value vehicles.
