    Colorado Roads

This has been reliable for years. It is reported by users. www.bushducks.com/tripreps/passopen.htm I also spend some time on http://www.colorado4x4.org and while there is a lot of fluff, the 'trip reports' and 'staging' sections tend to be pretty good acoounts of current conditions.

    Black Lug Nuts

They stopped them in mid 2005. Microcat doesn't list a replacement other than the chrome ones. Wheel lock are the same way. I scuffed and painted my locks black to match the lugs.

    LR3 floor mats

Factory mats are available in heavy gauge rubber and premium carpet. It comes as a set of 4. There is no third row carpet mat available from Land Rover. The rubber mats come as a set of four. Third row is an additional part#. Davez

Key Replacement for 05 LR3 SE

Per bulletin and experience, LR3 keys are supposed to take 3-4 business days, and they have been pretty good lately. Also, LRNA now has the equipment stateside, in New Jersey I believe. As for the rest, yes they are expensive, and someone with compatible equipment must program them.

    New Lr4!!!!!!!!

Cupholders What is wrong with LR engineers? Maybe I take this to seriously, but why are the cupholders in line with your hips? It makes much more sense to take your hand off the wheel, and direct it down 16 inches straight down to your beverage, rather than off the wheel, down and back, 'did I...

Wet Rear (dare you to read on)

A/C drains clogged? If I remember right the rear A/C lines and condensor sit in the left rear. Moisture condensing has to go somewhere, via drains. That's my thought.

    How to remove radio console/panel?

There is more to it than that. To pull that panel, I remember it having a bottom section that goes under the console piece. This was a while ago, but I just remember it was a bugger. Rather than attack that, I went around the problem and pulled the HVAC, radio and switch panels, and just T-d...

Recession LR3 Accesory Guide/ Price list

I don't know when the original quote was, but I can tell you that LRNA has been posting price changes about every 2 months. Along with that they have been been revamping the MSRP's back and forth. Most of this has to do with issues further up the coporate ladder, supplier costs, the strength of...

    What's the "Landrover" button for?

I use it to turn on the lights. Second tap turns on the reverse lights. On a reeeaaally slow night its been known to happen that I've tapped that button while parked on a busy downtown street just to watch the drivers wait for the car, and then realize there no-one in there. Mostly though I...

    Heated windshield retro-fit

SII and LR3 - 2 different aniamals. LR was very helpful in the SII in that MOST cars could be retrofitted to heated glass and seats by adding the glass, and switches. Can you imagine that? under $100 and you have heated seats! LR3, no such luck. On the glass, I haven't nailed down the harness...

Where. Okay, so stop holding secrets. Where did you get it?, and how much?

Michelin Syndrome or Michelin Latitude tires

Both tires are good, and both meet the specs of the car. The factory tire has a load rating of 111V where the 111 is a load, while V is a speed rating. The Synchrone is 111H and the Latitude is 111V. So realistically, they are both applicable. Both are great tires, so you can't really lose...

    MT/R 19 finally here??

Modifications in themselves do not void any warranty. However, if it can be shown that a modification caused or assisted in the fialure of a component, the manufacturer has the right to refuse to warranty the repair. Fair enough, the engineers designed the system/vehicle to operate a certain...

    Block heater?

True to the diesels, but in severe cold, any kind of heat can reduce the strain @ start up. The other benefit is that the heater is functional much more quickly!

    Block heater?

There isn't one. The block heater was intended to be a part of the equipment package, but it was later dropped. From my discussions with way to many people @ LRNA the best answer i received was that even in cold climates (Canada), the vehicle was able to surpass the emissions standards allowed...

    UK Accessories

The U.K! Actually, I deal with Land Rover Westchester on foreign stuff. They do a bit of import on items LR won't release through the dealer network here, like front lamp guards. Mike over there is a pretty good. The # there is 1-610-436-0600. He is a busy guy, so it helps to be prepared with...

    Rear Fender Flares

Amazingly, the grained 2008 and lower moldings are more than the paint-to-match 2009 and up. The 2009 and up are ~50% or so. BTW if you meant get 2008 and lower moldings and have them painted, we have seen that before and after all the prep of buffing the texture and all the prep, it didn't...

    Rear Fender Flares

Bummer about the hit. The flares aren't that bad to replace. The 2009 flare service parts come in primered, so you get to have them painted to match. Your local dealer ought to be able to order them up, and then you'll need to have them shot.

    First Time Owner... 2 Questions

No problem on the dig, I understand. We have our days around here, where we are our own worst enemy, just like any other occupation. Again, as a professional in the industry, I stand by: if they can't handle the pressure, move up the tree, and get satisfaction. Moving on: You could fool with...

Aaron, Congratulations on the purchase. As fro the problems: -The sunroof drains are probably backed up. Pretty common, we see it alot here and there are 17 different threads regarding sunroof leaks. You may be able to cure this yourself. -If I was to guess, somehow the module lost it's...

    front tow hitch

To clarify on that, the manual reccommends a maximum flat tow of 30 miles w/ max speed 30 mph, gearbox in neutral. Problem is you have to put the trans in neutral during this tow, so the t-box is getting driveline pressure. To do a proper flat tow like we used to do, you would need to put the...

    trailer lights connection

If you have a plug it is behind the cover in the rear bumper. If you don't, you will need an accessory harness from your dealer. It is all plug and play, you essentially are plugging a harness in-line wiht the car. You are talking about a 1/2 hour install most people can do on their own. You...
