Just drywalled the interior up about 9 feet. Wife got me a HUGE rolling tool box for Xmas, so that goes in. As to entertainment stuff, we have a bonus room in the house with big screen, pinball machine, treadmill, etc. so the garage/shop will be just that. It has a full size garage door... -

We did fine near Hatteras without a locker on our '07. Airing down helps a lot as well as starting out in second gear with the "computer" in sand mode. ChuckD -

Buying a service loaner? Bad idea?
About $2,600. It is from LR for 72 months. 100,000 miles with no third party company evident. $100 deductible per visit. Policy says "LR Assured". ChuckD -

I bought a 2007 last month. 5K miles, spotless,as you describe, and loaded. Only gripe is that the OEM tires are going away already and I had the "parking brake at 70mph" issue. This was promptly fixed at no cost. I did buy the dealer's extended warranty, but got it at a $500 discount simply... -

In any case, haggle over the price. The dealer has a BIG markup on these. I saved $500 when I bought my 2007 LR3 extended warranty by simply asking if it was possible. ChuckD -

After about 1.5.hours on the freeway this morning the LR3 suddenly began to shudder violently, as with a bad tire or the like. Shudder happened all the way to a stop. Looked truck over, felt wheels for heat, etc. No sign of anything out of the ordinary. Got back on board and resumed trip... -

Paul: No rear locker on my SE. Don't think it is necessary in sand, but would be a big help rock-crawling. Don't know why I used low range on beach except that we were going slowly. I did use the manual (Command Shift) to start moving in second or third gear to avoid wheelspin. ChuckD -
