Because they don't have any, or don't have "allocation" for very many new ones. The LR4's are selling quite well, so perhaps you should consider ordering one. See what they'll give you off the list price if you "order" one they way you want it. My local AD does not have a lot of LR4's right... -

As Rob said, this model has only been on the market for about..... A year now. It's substantially updated from the first generation called the LR3. In the USA (not sure where else) this new model is referred to as the LR4. I believe in the UK, it's still known as the LR3, but I'm not 100%...
