    2006 LR3 Parking Brake inoperative...

'06 LR3 - For me, my EPB started 'howling' when I engaged it and I had to replace it. The unit engages the parking brake shoes which were frozen. I had to replace the whole unit, I think all-in it was around $900.

Army- correct, they put the right amount in. Nick- I bought the truck at 60k miles and now have shy of 100k.

    Resolution: Leaky 06 LR3

The sleeve part cost was $20. The labor for the whole job was a little less than 5 hours @$85/hour. I had him do the tranny pan because the electrical sleeve required him to pull the pan off anyway, and at close to 100k miles without changing the fluid, I figured it was due. The funny thing is I...

    Resolution: Leaky 06 LR3

Following up to an earlier post I made. 06 LR3, 98k miles My girl began marking her territory underneath the front part of the truck behind the rear of the engine bay, fluid was pooling in the center of the front cross-member and dripping onto the floor. During an oil change it looked like...

    Transfer Case Leak

Resurrecting this thread. I think either the transfer case or the transmission pan is leaking on my 06 with 100k. If I start with trying one of the fluids mentioned above, where do I pour it in, I thought the tranny was a sealed system.

    Upgrading compressor questions on reflash

Wasp - What year is your car and what's the mileage? I've got an 06 with 94k. I'm wondering how long these stock compressors tend to last.

    2003 LR3 SE overheating...

I have experienced two of the things here. First with the low engine coolant - I was getting the same error message despite the tank being full. I brought it in and the bad float TLT mentions was the culprit. Replaced the entire reservoir, I think parts and labor were about $400. (LR Dealer)...

    Lower Control Arm Bushing Change

Agreed, Houm. That's what the mechanics said - they could do it, it just takes a lot of labor. I kept the repair cost down a little by getting the clergyman's discount - cash talks (with an Indy, probably not necessarily with a dealer.)

    Lower Control Arm Bushing Change

Great post, and good to know it can be done DIY. I had both LCAs replaced entirely, after 2 shops telling me it was cost prohibitive to do just the bushings.

    1993 RR LWB County Value

Gents - Does anyone have a sense for a private sale value of this make/model/year RR? If not can you point me to an online resource other than KBB/Edmunds? Mileage is 117k. Interior / exterior look to be exceptional. Air suspension has been replaced with coils/shocks and claims to be a CA car...

A/C - Cold on the left, hot on the right

hey 2beFree - I'm not sure of the anatomy of the a/c system, but the invoice describes the issue as 'a/c leak at rear a/c lines'. Wherever they are, it took a tech 3 hours to replace $25 worth of o-rings! Who says money can't buy happiness?

A/C - Cold on the left, hot on the right

Update: 4 o-rings replaced (juu500010, juu500030), freon recharged. $63 in parts, $345 in labor. Works like a charm.

    Water leaking onto passenger floor

I read in a thread on here somewhere about someone who did the channeling on the air intake underneath the cowl. I think they machined something, but I would imagine you could use duct tape to wrap around it, and make a lip on the lower end that would push the water to the sides.

    Water leaking onto passenger floor

+1 on tlt's warped cowl comments. I have a warped cowl and have the same situation. Solution is to put a new cowl on, or duct tape it for the temporary trailer park fix.

    Climate control not working

I'm experiencing a similar issue, but it's blowing cold on the driver's side, hot on the passenger side. It's going into the shop so I can update the group later. Prediction: It ain't gonna be cheap!

A/C - Cold on the left, hot on the right

Gents - First I'll mention recently my car started 'farting' a lot more lately than it normally has from the area behind the glove boxes, as described in numerous threads . I can probably get in there to lubricate the offending bits. So I'm not sure if the farting would have anything to do...

    Another Reduced Engine Performance Thread

Update: Thanks all for the info. Saved myself $300+ at my indy shop, instead followed the YouTube video steps for cleaning the MAF sensor and Throttle Body ($13 in sprays from Auto Zone). Error messages have gone away, and I'm getting about 2 add'l MPG around town, with no hesitation when...

Houm - I hear you. Now that it's happened a few times, maybe it's more than gremlins. I'll look into the MAF, which I saw in other threads, but didn't offer many other possibilities for troubleshooting.
