Combining spare-on-bumper with bike rack

Entirely possible and I completely understand why. Just don't make the mistake I did and test drive a P400 Defender for 90 minutes. Suddenly "Never" becomes "Maybe". ;) -

I want the LR4 cabin mounted on the Defender chassis. Still love the LR4 interior, tall windows, split tailgate, etc. But put it on the Defender chassis with better handling & agility plus the P400 engine. Include the fast Pivi Pro infotainment system and more capable terrain response system too. -

In regard to interior space and cargo room, the D5 is a better replacement for an LR4 than the 110. The 110 has more front and rear leg room than an LR4 but the rear cargo area is about 30% smaller than the LR4. However, you can pack the rear cargo area to the headliner and flip the switch on... -

^This. I was in Maine once where it snowed 3 feet overnight. Most vehicles were paralyzed. Between lift and mud/ruts mode I was able to drive out of our unplowed condo road. Nokian Hakkas deserve credit as well. -

I'm going to see if the LR3 tire winch is still available from LR parts. It had a 22mm bolt that you attach the lug wrench (or any socket driver) to. The only reason LR changed the winch design was because lazy tire places would take an air gun to the winch and ruin it. -

The "enthusiast" has a new Defender, so our red LR4 is for his wife. Her 2011 LR4 has 130K miles and she only wanted another LR4 to replace it. Our red LR4 had 33K miles, so it has many years to go. -

I can't help you with the mechanic referral, but buy the control arms from Atlantic British. No need to buy OEM control arms from the dealer. If over 100K mikes, check out your rear upper control arm bushings too. I just replaced my upper rear control arms at 130K miles. Definitely improved... -
