Wheel bearings
Joey, what is involved in greasing the bearings? Is it pretty straight forward or is there something special I need to know or do? It sounds easy enough, but I've never worked on the bearings before on any car. I plan on ordering that hub nut socket as soon as I can and I guess I'll order those...- DirtyDisco

About to buy a floor jack
Went to pepboys and picked up a 3ton suv jack and 3 ton suv jack stands all for about $85. Not too shabby I thought. Now I'm ready to get busy on the brakes, wheel bearings, and shocks... eventually lol.- DirtyDisco

I know I need a 3 ton jack, but how high does it have to extend to lift a stock discovery? There is a regular 3 ton jack for sale and there is an extended version that has a higher lift. Pro Comp Shocks for Disco 1's
Okay thanks for the advice. I'm not really doing much off-roading so I might just go with some Monroe's. The procomps just looked really cheap and I thought they might be a good shock, but I guess not. Thanks for the exchange link too.- DirtyDisco

Alright cool. Maybe for now I'll just plan on greasing the current bearings and also replacing the rotors and pads as well. Will I need a hub seal kit for each wheel? Stupid Radio Code doesn't work
I just read some stuff about the code in the owners manual and I think I might have not pressed in the code correctly because one of the buttons was sticking and now it says I have to leave the radio on for an hour before it will accept it.- DirtyDisco

Wheel bearings
Alright, I'm thinking it's time to work on the wheel bearings. I know there's a special socket I need to buy. I should also probably get new bearings too right? Stupid Radio Code doesn't work
After I put in the 5 digit number it beeps but it still says code, so I'm assuming some how I got the wrong code. I don't know why the radio would have been switched, but who knows. Guess I have to call the dealership or something.- DirtyDisco

Anyone know where this blinker thing is located?
Where is the blinker thing located, the part that makes the clicking sound when the blinkers are on? I wanted to put in an LED bulb and you need this three prong flasher thing that plugs in somewhere... I assume it's somewhere with the rest of the fuses but I haven't looked around for it yet.- DirtyDisco
