Brake Lights Problem
Joey, What about a brake switch... I had this issue when I was installing my trailer brake controller and the contact pistion had compressed in completely, giving me the same situation... Of course, mine is an '03... Does that matter??? -

Third Row Jump Seats
If the D1 is like the D2, I don't think you have the fasten points in the floor for the seats... You may have to pull back the carpet/plastic to check... If there are threaded holes, then it is just a matter of attaching the seats to the rear quarter and to the floor... Make sure you use... -

Does your dealer tell you NOT to Rotate your tires?
So do the rear tires on your vehicles turn like the front???:rolleyes: I cannot begin to imagine that front tires would not wear faster than the rear on any vehicle, 4WD, AWD, RWD, or FWD. Physics my friend, physics... You cannot overcome physics.... Oh yeah, then there is materials... -

Chris, I also suggest cleaning the entire brake assembly... I have an '03 Disco. that I got about 8 months ago and the wheels were covered in brake dust (I guess the previous owner never heard of a high-pressure car wash)... I tried to scrub the innner wheel wells with a stiff brush, but... -

Hi Joey, I'm not overheating, but wanted to avoid overhaeting anytime so I am changing out the upper hose assembly and the t/stat as preventative maintence... I figured I would add either one of the additives if anyone has postivie things to say about them... I figured cooler is better... -

How fast can I go in LOW range???

You could check crutchfield dot com or ive them a call and see what they can help you out with... I do know in some Fords with factory amps, Crutchfield provides a free bypass harness with a head unit purchase... I've bought thousand's of dollars from Crutchfield and they have never left me... -

Hi all, For my '03 Disco HSE7, I purchased the LR trailer harness... It only has 5 wires coming out of the harness that is hidden behind the tail lamp... Can anyone help me identify the remaining wires that are not being used? What I really want to find out is where the other ends of these... -

Very little space is lost... One of the seats (the passenger side) just replaces the storage compartment in the 5 seater (it adds a cupholder and a storage tray under the seat when folded away). I have put a large-sized dog crate in the rear with no issues, so I think it will be fine... -

That's the same length of trailer I am looking at... Makes me feel better that someone has done this length before.... and it will have brakes and tandem axle... I am concerned about the use of an extension or a longer ball mount since the Owner's Manual states not to use on longer than 8"... -

Are you using a weight distribution hitch for any of the heavy towing? What is the maximum length you have towed? I am also concerned about the ball mount... As stated in the Owner's Manual, the ball mount should not be more that 8 inches long, from pin hole to center of the ball shaft... -

Joey, Do you happen to know anyone that has done a ECU upgrade on the 4.6L engine? I checked out Powerchips' site and for $500 it can be done, but I am not sure if the 17hp and 21 ft-lbs. are worth it... What's you're opinion? Would I really feel (in terms of power) or see (in MPG) any... -

2000 D2 transmission Problems
That's you best starting point, best of all, it's free... Your fluid and pan will tell you the what's going on or what went wrong... You can even try taking the fluid to a local tranny expert and ask for their opinion... Keep us posted....
