Removing full length roof rails for a Baja rack
Hi all. How much taller is the Baja rack above the top of the oem roof rail? I've got about 8" of space from the top of my extended roof rails to the top of the garage door entrance. On bajas website the rack itself is listed as 5" tall but the description says to expect a 7.5" gain in height. -

Can I turn off Parking Warning Sensors w/ IID Tool?
Can this tool lower the sensor audio warnings below the min requirement of 12? The warnings are still waaaay to loud coming out of my speakers. One could think an enemy jet has locked in on me. -

Squeaky brake pedal release
To close out this thread. Took it to the dealer, they lubed up the brake pedal pivot pen and releasing of the brake pedal is now silent. yay -

Back up to 3.40-3.60 in the southbay (not that I'm complaining), and still way cheaper than I expected when I purchased my lr4. At least I bought in on an energy etf in the dip [emoji12] -

Newbie Question re Heavy Duty Package
Get HD. Just the full size spare is worth it to me. I seriously chunked my black 19" rim doing some Silicon Valley off-roading. Really. That curb came out of nowhere. [emoji41] So I put the beautiful spare on and had no problem waiting the 7 days for my rim to be repaired like new. -

Front license plate bracket
I ordered a MY14 for a Ca delivery. Our law is two plates, but I don't attach a front for aesthetic reasons. Anyway my LR4 arrived with no pre-drilled holes in the front (which made me happy), front plate mount was packed in trunk for me to install myself. Hope this helps. -

Bay area California. I'll see if I can find a copy of the doc tonight as I don't recall the exact verbiage. From memory it seemed like a "sign here that you won't do this" document. -

On a side note. When I received my MY14 LR4 I actually had to sign a form stating that I would not drive with chains on the vehicle (no mention of front vs back). One of the many forms you have to sign for delivery. Since we never use chains out here I didn't think much of it at the time. -

Quite common in the bay area. Decent housing can be at least 800k so I figure folks find a 50k car more attainable then scraping together 160k for that housing down payment. -

MY14 LR4: JotaDe's Thoughts
Hi folks. What do you use to detail the rubber weather stripping on the side windows (not the harder black plastic strips)? After a wash I've tried mothers back to black and it still leaves the chalky white stripes. Hopefully there is a way to get a nice consistent black on that rubber.
