Steering "pull" from road ruts - need feedback

"Tramlining" can be caused by a number of factors. Some info here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=47 Tires, alignment, bushings, ball joints are all possible causes, in addition to road condition.

    LR3 <> LR4 mods

Some accessories will fit both, others will not. For example, I have the trailer hitch, bike rack, and roof crossbars which are 'transferabe", and the A-Frame and rubber floor mats which are not. Someone on the Disco3 site did fit an LR4 steering wheel on an LR3, which required custom...

    Parking Brake Lock-Up

Wiring harness failure while under warranty is a normal wear/tear issue? Oh boy. Obviously this should be covered. Too bad they are going to make you go through the extra effort to get it addressed. Do you have any other dealers in the area to work with?

What did you do to your LR3 today?

I did nothing with the LR3 today. Let my wife take it out for a day of shopping, while I spend time with our 8-year-old and enjoyed Fathers Day by the pool.

    New trailer hitch concept/idea

Out of curiosity, why would you be wheeling and pulling something on the hitch at the same time? This is the scenario you are describing, correct?

    Anyone need any parts?

Saw another salvage LR3 a while back posted here, also from Pams Auto. Could be an opportunity to pick up a compressor. I already have a new one (4th time is the charm ) Hope the driver made it, that looks really bad...

    OEM Driving Lights

To wire that, you may need a totally independent wiring setup and switch. One with a relay to tie into the fogs, or just a basic on/off switch with a fuse. Something like this: http://www.roversnorth.com/web/downloads/instructions/hella/hella-500-wiring-diagram.jpg

    OEM Driving Lights

Regarding the wiring, yes you can do just about anything (have them operate independently, have them turn on with the fog lights, etc). However a few things to consider: 1) Fog lights have a different beam pattern, the OEM driving lights would not really work well for this 2) The...

I have the template, and can make a copy for you. Please pm with address info on where to send it. Let me know if you have any questions on the install. The instructions were mostly accurate - interior wiring was the most challenging part. John

    what the transfer case does

Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_case Primarliy, the transfer case receives power from the transmission and sends it to both the front and rear axles. If the dealer "reflashed" your Transmission Control Module (TCM) as part of the repair, this could also explain the...

How to remove slime and paint from the underside

You may want to check on a car detailing forum for additional suggestions. If it is road paint, it's not coming off easily - consider how well it sticks to the road in all conditions. Have you called your insurance company? They may cover this.

THINGS I CAN EXPECT TO CHANGE 75k-100K miles??

Diffs - I am changing the diif oil earlier than the recommended interval to help prevent premature wear/failure. Also, ride height sensors have been reported. Air compressor and bushings appear to be the most common, as listed above.
