LR4 2013 5.0L engine ?

Oil changes every 5-7500 miles helps mitigage most of the issues, but I think there's still an aluminum piece somewhere on the tensioner that prematurely wears compared to the steel components used in the upgraded parts. I do believe you can hear when that aluminum piece is worn because that...

No problem, I hope you're able to find a more reasonable rate from a qualified Indy shop. I'd be very interested to hear what others have to say, because I'm sure you're not the first (nor will you be the last) person to be handed a bill like that.

Absolutely start making phone calls, that's nuts. For $15k they should be able to replace every single piece of the air suspension from front to back, and your control arms, tires, etc..

    Another nervous newbie

Welcome! I was in your shoes not even a week ago, and I also purchased a 2013 LR4 with 115k miles. Sounds like we'll be enjoying this ride together!

Good lord... That's a pretty crazy sounding price. I'd be making phone calls to independent shops ASAP, explain what the dealer found, and ask for quotes. As much as I love the air suspension on our vehicles, I'd be swapping to coils before I dropped $15k to fix suspension on a 6 year old...

    LR4 2013 5.0L engine ?

'13 engines are the same as the '11-12 engines, except they have the better timing chain components like mentioned above. That was a big selling point for me, and that's why you'll typically see a large difference in price between the 2011/12 models and the 2013, followed by an even larger bump...

    Nervous but now ready

I was in a similar boat not even a month ago, shopping for an LR3 or LR4. I'd previously had a 2007 Range Rover Sport so I was familiar with the LR3 era vehicles. As for reliability, finding a properly maintained vehicle will be your best bet. Things like transmission, differentials, and...

    Exhaust solutions?

Cutouts could be interesting, but I'd prefer the simplicity (and price) of finding a reasonable muffler replacement

    Back again! Nara Bronze LR4

There's so many variations with similar names, happens all the time when I'm searching for tires! I might still move to 18's at some point, but for now these should be more than sufficient and get me through winter.

    Back again! Nara Bronze LR4

I would argue that the Toyo Open Country has a pretty good track record as an all terrain / off road tire, and I don't believe they offer the Zeon in a 31" tire for our 19" wheels. I'd really considered 18" wheels, but the entry cost was a bit too much to justify with how much time I spend...

    Exhaust solutions?

Seems like not many people doing exhaust modifications on the LR4, except a muffler delete. While it sounds good, it might be a little loud for my needs. I'm looking for something I can actually hear, without waking up my neighbors when I get home at night with minimal/no drone. What do you...

    Back again! Nara Bronze LR4

Absolutely! Later this month (or early November) a friend and I will be doing the 7 HR Plane Crash trail in northern WI/MI. Plan is to make a pitstop on the way back at the OHV park in Tigerton WI.

    Back again! Nara Bronze LR4

I've been registered here since 2018 when I bought my '07 Range Rover Sport. The RRS went away and I bought an Alfa Romeo Giulia TI which I absolutely loved. Anyway, Wisconsin winters were a bit rough on the Alfa, so I ditched that and found myself an LR4! 2013 LR4 Lux w/HD package in Nara...

Looking for a 19" off road tire.

I just ordered 5 of the 255/60/19 Toyos, can't wait to get them on and give them a try!

    Rear middle seat folding issue

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you, but I also have the same issue of the 2nd row middle seat of my LR4 being unable to fold forward. Maybe this bump will spur some action :)

First Range Rover! My experience in the first 1000k miles

Thanks! Replaced the tiny OEM size 275/40/20 all seasons with some 265/50/20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s :) Very happy with how they feel on the road (quiet, no noticeable extra roll, good grip in rain), can't wait to test them off road next month!

First Range Rover! My experience in the first 1000k miles

Hello everyone! New to the forum, but have posted something north of 30k times on various BMW/Porsche/Ford/Subaru forums dating back to 2008. In anticipation of buying a house next year I traded in my 2016 F150, which I enjoyed, but owed over $28k on, for a 2007 Range Rover of which I now owe...

    First Range Rover!

Hello everyone! Recently picked up my first RR, a 2007 RR Sport Supercharged, 100k on the clock. I traded in a 2016 F150 XL, and have owned many BMWs, a 911, and various other foreign vehicles. So far I absolutely love the new RR, and assuming it doesn't blow up in the next month I can see...
