Normal Coolant Level Drop?
...bought my 2015 SCV6 and had the entire vehicle serviced and changed the entire cooling system pipes/hoses and pump+thermostat as well as the coolant expansion tank+cap. I have owned the vehicle for four months now and put 5k miles on it. Every month I notoce that the coolant level drops... -
Where is my coolant going??
You should go all through the coolant system replacing the water pump, xovers, tstat, radiator and do a good job.- powershift

Bad ECM or something else?
In addition to the mechanically driven coolant pump, the 2015 3.0 LR4 has an electric coolant pump with a dedicated radiator for the supercharger. -
Coolant leak from small hose on Waterpump
I've had a very slow coolant leak, and I found out that it is coming from the small plastic hose that plugs into the water pump. If I wiggle it coolant leaks thru the seal. I am not sure if I can get a new seal, or if I am going to need to replace the whole water pump. Anyone have this issue before?- MW3Designs

Vacuum filling is always the best choice. There are so many coolant pipes, with high and low passages. Vacuum filling assures a complete fill.- Rover Range

I've never tried vacuum filling. How does that work? For my pressure test I used the harbor freight hand pump coolant pressure tester and it found a leak.- powershift

With the supercharger intercooler vacuum filling is the way to go. If your vacuum filler is pulling hard enough to collapse the large coolant hose you're doing well.- scapistron

Coolant leak & collapsed top hose when cold?
Yes, coolant system work done 4yrs ago. I am not so concerned about the extra coolant per se. It's more the erratic behaviour. Yes, opened reservoir cap and the hose remained collapsed. Upgrade or keep 2010 V8?
StockOEM front and rear coolant crossover pipes (plastic) should be replaced with metal units. There were some cam chain tensioner issues IIRC as well.- Rubber Cow

Newbie to the Forum
Having same coolant issue with wife’s 2012 Land Rover LR4, replaced water pump, thermostat, front and rear crossover pipes, and coolant tank but still leaking coolant from front and puddling on skid plate. Wondering if oil cooler pipe to water pump and/or oil cooler gasket could be the culprit...- Phillsco

I think I might have a small coolant leak somewhere, but can't trace it. All coolant work was done within the last 6 months by LR indy—rear+ front pipes, water pump, thermostat housing, hoses etc. No dripping on the floor, and not noticing any sweet smell either. Coolant loss was very minimal... -

Can you see any coolant in the valley, on mine it was pretty easy to see down by the Y crossover pipe. I think the o'ring on the oil coolant pipe is often the culprit of slow leaks. -

@Land Rover Joe I think the loose lower radiator hose dumped coolant faster than the sensor could measure the temperature increase and so even though the engine was only on for about another 15 to 30 seconds after it went into limp mode, it was at operating temperature and then rose well above... -

PCV valves are new (after low coolant warning), but how do they contribute to coolant leak? Is the vacuum pump hooked up to the cooling system too? I know you can leak oil from there. -

I’m not sure what you mean by that. Either there’s coolant in places that it shouldn’t be, or there isn’t. -

Yup! In that first picture I’m oriented to what I’m seeing on the block — I see you have the oil cooler and lower half of the front coolant crossover pipe off.
