MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

I would assume the same, but it is not consistent. I do not experience on my drive to work, but do on my way to lunch and drive home. Seems engine temp dependent (maybe vacuum leak present once expansion occurs), but when it does not bog on an incline, that points me towards the fuel tank...

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

Well, idle bog when coming to a stop is still there (idle drops to 500-600rpm and the truck shakes until throttle is reapplied). Seems more pronounced when on flat ground than on an incline (nose elevated). Commanded fuel is higher than supplied fuel, but STFTs and LTFTs look good. The...

    Nameplate replacement pricing?

Did it myself on both LR4s. Hardest part is scrubbing off the old "glue". I made a grid out of painters tape to align the letters and rear name plates. Then, you can pull off the letters and scrub the glue out. Align new letter with whatever reference point you made and repeat. Most letters...

Probably dumb Q about the auxiliary battery

Haha it's my thread. You're right. I had two objectives: install an aux battery, and disable start stop without a code. I failed at the second, but, once everything was hooked back up towards an OEM configuration, no codes and start stop works again

    Updated sources for skid plating?

Tactical 4x4 is a great source. Lucky 8 does supply some of their gear, but you can go direct.

2014-2016 Traxide Dual Battery Kit Lessons Learned

    1) yes 2) it can handle the load. My start stop functionality is restored as if I were still running the smaller battery. The traxide kit just adds the isolation solenoid, "always on" outlets in the rear, and an Anderson plug mounted beside my trailer hitch.

Replaced rear diff pinion seal, drive shaft and breather

Yes, sorry. Wheel well liner. I cannot see a reason why you could not run the line into the engine compartment. Just need to strategically avoid the driveline and exhaust components.

Replaced rear diff pinion seal, drive shaft and breather

Happy to help. The breather is attached to the fuel filler neck. To access, you need to remove the rear, passenger-side splash shield. There was no filter on mine, but it should look like the one under the hood by the coolant overflow. The splash shield is the only thing you need to remove. The...

    How to: Replace Humidity Sensor.

I received B13C2-86 and B13C2-96, both referring to the windshield misting sensor. From what I understand, this little bugger controls the activation of the a.c. compressor to maintain a set humidity within the cabin. Step 1. Order part number LR058011 (MY14-16) Step 2. Locate the humidity...

2014-2016 Traxide Dual Battery Kit Lessons Learned

Since I started this debacle, I wanted to see it through to the end. Great success (no ECO light): Since installing the dual battery kit, moving the PSDB, and hooking it back up, I still had some annoying codes---even though my heated windshield and steering wheel came back: In an...

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

Replaced both MAF sensors today. I also pulled out the driver and passenger pcv breather lines and put new o-rings on them. Upon reassembly, I made damn sure that they were seated and that the top and bottom parts of the collar clip clipped into place. I cleared the DTCs (will post more about...

No good deed goes unpunished... charging system fault

BMS module will give you the same fault. Check the connector on the negative terminal to see if it was dislodged. Otherwise, yes, as @DaytonaRS7 said, you're going to need to read the codes.

    Easy airing up/down

Great innovation! How are you storing the air lines when not in use? Given your awesome fabricating skills, I'm guessing some form of bracket in the wheel wells?

2011 LR4 front air strut replacement

I don't believe so. Not sure what the fitting is called, but here is a description: There is a copper collar that slide over the air line. You insert the air line into the nut, then install the collar on the side going into the strut. Once tightened, the collar slightly rotates to hold the air...

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

Coasting is where the faulty MAF acts up, but agreed that idle is my issue. My last smoke test showed no leak. I tested the vacuum lines and pushed smoke through the intake system. That said, last time I was playing around, I noticed the hard pipe from driver side valve cover seems a little...

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

I think I have a can floating around lol. FCP EURO had the MAFs for less than $100 and carry the fuel filter and gasket that others have reported leaking on top of the fuel tank. I ended up getting both MAFs and the fuel tank parts.

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

There is no good way, brother. Send me a PM with your email and I'll send you the step-by-step. Basically: - remove tire - remove splash shields - remove heat shields behind upper control arm - remove one maybe two of the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts - remove under engine skid plate...

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

With consolidated airflow, I am with you. No way that each bank's measured air molecules makes it into that bank's cylinders, through one throttle body, and churned up by the supercharger. But, I wouldn't be surprised if a land rover engineer thought it was a good idea... Ignore the rpm at the...

2011 LR4 front air strut replacement

Maybe if you removed the battery box and valve cover insulator, you could get to it. But, ratcheting wrench is the way to go.

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

There is a voltage value. I will try that next! As far as consolidated air flow, you are right, and I thought the same thing, but the maf readings affect their assigned bank; or so I've been told...

Yes they have been cleaned a couple of times since I owned it. Any and all feedback is appreciated!

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

I was thinking bank 1 is faulty due to measuring too little air flow--element contaminated. No codes other than those related to the start stop stuff. Here is some better data: Idle after leaving work: Just pressed accelerator after slowing down: Coasting, foot off of accelerator...

MAF sensor and O2 sensor bad?

I had a little time this morning before work and thought I would troubleshoot an annoying idle issue (bogs slightly when coming to a stop, and occasionally will vibrate the steering wheel when parked). Using my handy iid tool to log live values, this what I see: I can lack common sense...
