Oil and filter for one change can be purchased for less than $200 from reputable Rover parts vendors. Extraction tool is less than $200 and will last for many years. Oil filter tool is likely about $25 and lasts forever. Do it yourself.....- txfromwi

I know status changes, but I have them on the 2016. Because the 2016 was out of state I paid the price and had them done at the dealership in Rochester, NY. It took them a while to get the tires, (and a new spare) - I think it took them a couple of weeks - but I gave them several months notice... -

Front and rear differential service and engine oil service
I know nothing about the Disco 5. But note that on the LR4 (Disco 4) front and rear differentials are NOT filled to the filler plug level. They are filled BY VOLUME. Also Front and rear and locking rear all use different fluids. Service interval on the front and rear is 10 yrs/150K miles...- txfromwi

Not sure about the 2001, as a general statement, the transfer case function can be both internal to or external to the transmission itself. I can tell you that in my 2013-2016 LR4's the transfer case is separate and is external to the transmission proper. First find the leak. Remove all... -

As long as it showed up in a comment above: Regarding the fuel flange recall. Red Rover 2015, completed recall at the Dallas dealership - no issues. White Rover 2016, completed recall - local Houston dealer did a botched job, ongoing fuel leaks until I could get it to another dealership... -

Now that's a serious project !! Yes, the ZF 6HP 26 and 28 are identically mechanically. They produce different torque outputs and that is via the mechatronic and the software. If you pull the attached document it lists every mechanical part, and they are all identical. -

It's a very simple task to change the battery. Exide EK 151 as per above. Get it from vendors in the UK, I source mine from Groves Batteries - even after the shipping it will still be much, much less expensive than obtaining the battery at a dealership. I went with OEM. It's not too hard a job, you can do it yourself. But of course there are tricks - it IS a Rover after all. Then an alignment at your favorite shop. I have a video out there on YouTube for this project. -
