Anybody have access to Alldata to double check some labor times? My warranty and the dealership are quoting different times even though they both say they use motor alldata. Warranty says 2.2 hrs for LCAs and .7 for the prop shaft bearing/carrier bearing; dealership is saying 5 for LCAs (3 for...
Dropped my LR4 off at the dealer this morning for LCA bushings and they told me that the recall had now been approved and they would do that while they had it in for bushings. I still have yet to get a CEL for it or smell fuel, but i didnt mention that
It’s not the prettiest, but I leave mine on. It’s a little extra insurance for backing into things, people rear ending me, or people getting too close parking
I doubt o’reilly’s cleared them, I know others don’t for ‘liability’ reasons, but I would do that and see if it comes back. May just be a flukey trigger. Any chance it was raining, puddle, or car wash recently? I think the tsb mentioned or I read somewhere where cold water on hot sensors will...
I believe these are just O2 sensor codes and there is a tsb about them. Should be covered under your service plan.
I get one that pops up every 6wks or so for bank 2 sensor 3; no drivability issues and not sure what triggers is, but I clear it and it stays gone for another month or two.
No exhaust upgrades, just the crank pulley and tune for now and plans to do the SC pulley next winter. Based on VAPs dyno it should be +110hp/108tq over stock and in the 450hp/440tq range.
I can’t give much advice since I’m in the south and our winters are mild in comparison, but I would say that the cost to add a locker and change the transfer case to a twin speed would be a lot less than fixing a coolant leak. HD package was the main option for me in my search…even if I never use it
Similar to this, is there a way to unlock the dvd playing on the front screen when in motion?
Not to hijack the topic, but I’ve also wondered if you disable the “timed recerculation” for the climate control so that you can recycle air for as long as you want?
I’ve smelled burning PS fluid or Transmission fluid (hydraulic type smell) once or twice, usually on long interstate trips once I get off on an exit. Transmission states it will vent excess fluid and it happens to drip on the exhaust.

Haven’t made it as far as figuring disassembly, but I figured if they sold the cameras individually then there has to be a way to replace just them. I’m going to try and get mine replaced under my warranty at some...
You can replace the tiny cameras, but they are pricey; LR want $450-500 for new ones and even on eBay they’re still a couple hundred. I have a chipped one on the front bumper that I’ve thought about replacing, but can’t justify the price. All the cameras have the same p/n so you may think about...
Looks like the upper is going to be +25 hp/+30tq; they just posted a video on IG with the test Jag and reported 475hp/470tq numbers.

From what I can tell, yes, the sport mode has higher revs between shifts and what feels like faster/firmer shifts. I use sport mode every now and then just to exercise those higher revs.
The transmission is adaptive and that will play a role; if I’m at an intersection and know I’m going to...
I’ve found that it took some getting used to for me on a drive-by-wire throttle body vs cable linked peddle. Sport mode around town is definitely peppier and if you use paddles in town, you can see that at a dead stop the transmission only goes down to 2nd gear. Not sure why or if that’s the...
Not yet. Honestly I’ll probably wait ‘til their Black Friday deals to pick it up and make that next winters project, but if I were starting from scratch I would go ahead and do lower and upper at the same time.
Based on other companies that have upper pulleys of the same size, we should expect...
VAPs new smaller 58mm supercharger pulley is now available (62mm stock) for $319; add an extra long belt for $80. No statement yet on add hp/tq numbers
I’ve used several different brands of intake cleaner from seafoam, CRC, B12 etc. and have never changed the oil following. Not saying that’s right, just what I’ve done on multiple vehicles. Only time I’ve used a product and changed the oil was when putting seafoam in the crankcase.
I was thinking the NA V8 and the SCV6 were pretty close in hp and tq; like less than 30 hp and ft/lb different. That being said, it’s been a loooong time since I drove the v8. The stage 2 tune gets you +110 hp and ft/lb on paper which gets us <50 hp and <30 ft/lb from the stock scv8.
I have the...
