    I too was thinking the fan was hitting something. OP I would check the fan blades for gouging/scoring marks and the surrounding plastic.

    Normal message to see, it's just the vehicle load shedding. It'll eventually turn the center display off and not allow the radio to be played either. How old is your battery, age wise? They go after around 2-4 years it seems.

    You're better off looking on disco3.co.uk - I think its been done a few times. There have been a few guys that have retrofitted adaptive cruise control, but thats only doable on a 2014+ with the wiring harness. 2013s and older don't have it. No idea if the blind spot monitoring is the same way.

    Does this guy specialize on European vehicles/Land Rovers? There are two shops around where I live that do, and this is all they work on so I've never had issues with them. But taking it to a normal "good" mechanic isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they might realize that they misquoted a job...

    I'm pretty confident the recirculation valve closes when the vehicle is shut down. On my friends LR3 you can hear the valve move when the cars ignition gets cycled, or pressing the button. I hear mine occasionally too if I don't drive the car for a while.

    I replaced my DMTL pump in about 45 minutes. You can get to it from under the vehicle.

    No. I say this after replacing one of my front air struts that failed catastrophically on a trail. 116k miles or so on it. However, I do off road it a bit and I’m confident if it was only driven on the street that I wouldn’t have had this issue this early on.

    If you let your car roll real slowly (just idle in drive) and slam on the brakes you will hear and feel a clunk if the LCAs are shot.
