Couldn't agree more. Particularly since you were 'fixing' a potentially deadly defect. You should push for reimbursement even if they say they have to do it again with a different (updated) part. They may have already fixed that flange before your repair was done, since they have known of this... -

The short answer now is yes, they will/should reimburse. See my earlier post below with the NHTSA attachment explaining the recall. If you've already been notified then you should be able to submit for reimbursement. "No" in my below answer was only in regard to timing. You might want to check... -

Should I?
Since it's from a LR dealer, is it 'Certified'? (LR extended warranty). Or will they 'Certify' it?...if not, why not? Of course there are usually $'s attached to that, but it's a good extended warranty and the price may be negotiable.- LB Bill

It does seem odd given the mileage. I doubt that it's on any service 'checklist' at that point. It was "recent" and now the truck is for sale? I would investigate further..the why and the results. -

Yeah, 'OEM' is a figure of speech maybe used too broadly and loosely these days...sometimes by 'crooks' (MHO) selling knock-offs and calling it that because they maintain it meets spec. So yes 'OE-Land Rover' or 'Genuine Land Rover', as they say, works...even though, as we all know, LR's are... -

A couple of comments- While not impossible, it seems a bit unlikely that both struts would go bad in the same way at the same time. I had the exact same thing occurring in my LR3 about at the end of it's time with me (front end sagging over-night). Took it in to my indy mech and it was not... -

High-Pitched Buzzing Sound SCV6
EAS/compressor? Do you lower it to pull into the garage? I have to, and the system 'buzzes' for a bit while it cycles...sometimes continuing until I turn it off. It doesn't seem that high-pitched though. (the rest of the 'noise' seems normal lol). -
