With my last fill up I am getting fuel fumes in the cabin...

Before you get to an irreversible point, check all the bolts. On mine there is at least one that is nearly impossible to access without invasive removal of some other item like a cross member. I forget exactly, I just recall it being like "oh, that'll suck to have to do just to get the tank...

Home setup/equipment for swapping wheels and undercarriage rinsing, etc.

Yup. or the big yellow ones sold at Harbor Freight are pretty well made too. Reach is 24" but still low enough entry profile for my low wagons.

Home setup/equipment for swapping wheels and undercarriage rinsing, etc.

Deep is best for lugs nuts for the reach into wheel area which allows your breaker bar to have better approach angle. A. ratchets are not always intended for loosening although the torque on wheels is usually not too much. A "breaker bar" is the 'proper' tool intended to 'break' nuts loose...

    LR4 on 33's

You cannot really use the strut spacers without the rods. This is the only scenario where the rods actually have a useful function that no other solution exists for yet. Rods alone provide no true use but on top of the spacer they bring the angles back into computer happy range. However, that...

    Compomotive PD 1881 finish delamination

Trust me, get the 265/65-18 and the E load range will last better and be better for hours off road at low psi plus the carcass has better puncture resistance. The speedometer will not be that much off but maybe up to 5%. Roughly speaking, it could be off by ratio of 30 to 31.5 which is 5% but...

    Compomotive PD 1881 finish delamination

Real nice... That's the classic response that prompts me to UN-recommend a company to everyone. Please let him know that the only reason they have sold any is due to the enthusiast community. All the factory wheels I have that were powder coated by a Seattle commercial architectural metals...

    20inch wheel Offset required? 275/55R20 KO2's

So that totally sounds like a BFG ko2 plan but the 18's will allow you to have no worries at all when you want to take the 'long' cut through some CO high divide crossing trail instead of the interstate. I've been on trips from Seattle to DC and in between ended up deciding to spend the night...

    20inch wheel Offset required? 275/55R20 KO2's

ET 35 will take away from max usable size tire though. Also, 8.5 adds to the reduction in max tire diameter. Now if someone just wants a squat looking beast with 9" wide wheels and wide tires flush to fenders, then they can certainly go with smaller diameter close to factory like 30". If not...

    20inch wheel Offset required? 275/55R20 KO2's

You can't let enough air out for good traction. With a fully inflated tire, you have no where near the traction of a tire at 20 psi. It's night and day different. A deflated tire can 'wrap' over objects which not only provides over 50% more contact area of the tread to surface/object, but...

    20inch wheel Offset required? 275/55R20 KO2's

    A. the reason you're finding different offsets is because they are replica wheels which are going to be ruined off-road as they are not usually made as strong or finished as durably. Thus, cheap, is in the end, also 'cheap'. Often in the long run, cheap becomes expensive. B. you'll want the...

    20inch wheel Offset required? 275/55R20 KO2's

Wrong. Being obsessed with 20" wheels for off-road use is like asking what umbrella is best for your cliff jump. It's literally devoid of logic. Put a street tire onto a street wheel and stay on gravel roads at worst.

    Maintenance charger for battery

If you never really run it for more than 10 minutes a day on short trips with 2 starts, then the maintainer might be good. Just be sure it's a proper smart maintainer, not a simple trickler that may drive too much in when topped off.

    LR4 on 33's

1-you (we) don't have actual 32" BFG ko2 tires. BFG run small and are more like ~31.7 at best. Compared to my Michelin MS2 set of same numerical numbers which is an actual 32.1 or so. 2-I also have spacers on this set (mine are 25mm) but the 33.7" 285/70-18 bfg km2 don't work with the...

    Rotor wear advice

Yeah, and along these lines the only reason anyone wants to turn rotors for more use is for cost savings. It's very small though IMO for the life per time and cost to have that done. My time is worth something even if it's being compared to simply eliminating doing the job again so much sooner...

    LR4 on 33's

just saw on a land cruiser forum this size on 20's and they'd have similar clearance issues so this size would be fine too. BFG KO2's in a 275/60/20 (33x11)

    LR4 on 33's

Well, on my first LR3 I bought the "Stormer" Range Rover Sport SC wheel that was either 20x9 or 9.5, however the tire barely fit next to the upper control arm, though it did just enough. The tire was a Toyo Proxes ST in 285/50-20. It looked great due to being so flush with the wheel...

    LR4 Shock Longevity

Don't misunderstand me, I LOVE the taller 'look' as well as the sight line from driver seat. I have experimented with many heights, speeds, loads, and the lower you can roll the better with factory 'normal' being the best.

Health of Tata Motors and the future of Land Rover brand.... ?

^ have you ever driven a Mercedes G? They are actually a lot like a much better built Disco 2. Better in every way mechanically, body, frame, and materials but the Disco 2 was my favorite for shape of rear section being so tall. If you can afford/warrant a new D5, then you can more or less...

Changing rear brakes now - some questions

Yeah I love the color o the one in this thread and with grey paint I actually prefer silver or aluminum accent trim and wheels. Our Audi S4 avant is Dolphin Grey and the silver and gunmetal silver wheel sets look perfect, even 11 years on now from new.

    Rotor wear advice

Yes, and while it's less prevalent in heavy land rover crowds, the idea of paying $$$ for "light" multi-piece rotors is mostly goofy. A racing friend explained to me once that what he wants mostly in a rotor is mass, lots of metal to dissipate and take up heat over and over. And that a light...
