How concerned should I be with a 150K miles LR4? Proactive repairs?

This is good advice and carries another benefit. I find that when I go looking for info using forum search, I invariably wind up going down a bunch of unexpected rabbit holes. That's not a bad thing, because I wind up learning a lot of extra stuff I didn't even think of at first. @keya, the...

    Nokian WR G4

Big fan of the WG3 as a year-rounder all-weather tire. I found them especially great here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Granted we don’t have severe winters, but if @PaulLR3 vouches for them in Boston winters, you can’t go wrong.

    Add seat memory?

Ha, good snag. I also did find my comment along the lines of what I recalled above. So it's doable, which is cool.

    Add seat memory?

Ryan, if memory serves, someone got it to work. It may have required a particular model or model year, but I remember thinking "hmm, pretty cool." I then remember thinking and maybe even commenting: "Not that I'm interested in anyone else's ass being in MYowndamn seat..."

    Add seat memory?

I actually do remember a post about retrofitting this and installing a new switch on the door? Can't recall if it required an ECU flash or not. I may be mistaken but a quick search should turn something up. I'd be curious about it too for my '13 HSE.

LR4s out there holding their value maybe more than just quite well

I think that’s a nice deal, too, Troy. My 2013 just hit 75K and I’m also the 2nd owner. I do all scheduled maintenance, 5K OCI w/Castrol Gucci, take care of it cosmetically as well. My indy just put new LCAs, new front rotors and pads, and transfer case/diff fluid changes. He admires it every...

LR4s out there holding their value maybe more than just quite well

It creates a brief dilemma for me, but ultimately gives me a lot of satisfaction in my decision to hang on to the LR4. I might start cruising my area dealerships just to see their tongues hanging out. But the truth is that I love it even more than they do. Call it pride of ownership...and...

LR4s out there holding their value maybe more than just quite well

I just poked my head out in the garage to check the doors and lights …and to say goodnight to the Landy of course. I could swear I heard a very faint “cha-ching” of appreciation coming from it. Naw it was probably just the EAS leveling itself out for the night…right?? :D

LR4s out there holding their value maybe more than just quite well

I just shared this post with a good friend who is dismayed that his 2011 LR4 (~100K miles) is getting a rebuilt transmission after a botched fluid swap by an indy. He’s waiting for his new 110 to be delivered in February. I keep telling him that to an LR4 fan, this refreshed transmission is a...

    LR3 or LR4?

Little bit better power in the '10-'13 model years. Upscale finishes on the interior and exterior trim (although many of us admire the grill, fender flares, and tail lights on the LR3 just as much). Personally I love my LR4 and I'm on my 2nd one, but if your LR3s have treated you well that's a...

Help Build Crowd Sourced used LR4 Buyers Guide?

Side note: Let’s stay in touch as you get closer to crossing over into ownership mode. We have a very active and fun group of owners across the DMV including Baltimore and Annapolis. Plenty of LR3 and LR4 experience in the group. DM me if you’re interested in more info. —Chris

    2011 LR4 Pricing

If this isn’t a bullseye I don’t know what is. Glad you scooped it up and that it was so close to home. Weird how things work out sometimes. And 2013 is the best year for LR4s...IMHO!! Congrats.

    150K Mile Service

Actually the prices quoted by the indy shop don't seem half bad. @ktm525 is right that you can do it less expensively as DIY but that holds true for anything if you have the time, tools, and knowledge. I'm guessing that the fuel injection service is fuel induction service and might be more...

Startup ticking noise - exhaust leak or lifters?

How in the world does a bolt in that location shear off or get so corroded that it breaks off? But glad you got it traced and fixed so quickly.

    2011 LR4 Pricing

Every new LR4 owner should be encouraged to add $100 to the acquisition cost and invest in a MityVac 7201 fluid evacuator for DIY oil changes. I'm due for the 75K service and at least I can back out the oil change and engine/cabin air filter service from that visit.

    Lr4 oil level meter capacity

This is one of those things I try not to think about because it would drive me nuts. First off, I never have to add oil between changes. My level stays constant, at least according to the digital gauge. Also, my possibly dangerous assumption is that Land Rover engineered the digital gauge...

    2011 LR4 Pricing

Big believer in this approach. It’s a bit shortsighted (literally in this case) to only search in a convenient radius for something this important. Give yourself as many options as possible.

@rt10516 Glad you’re enjoying the Rhino hitch! Re the ladder, it’s photos like this that get me concerned about models with attachment points that I can’t keep an eye on. Hopefully this isn’t super common but it bums me out: https://www.instagram.com/p/B_wK11ojCFj/?igshid=jadrtdrvv2c

I know you wanted to keep it on the driver's side but I just installed the Bearmach option that goes on the passenger side. No drilling or removal of body parts is required. It hooks around the top and bottom edge of the uppper gate. I was surprised how sturdy it felt after I tightened...

    Dash Clock minus 30

I keep coming back to this forum for stuff just like this. There is no end to the wacky stuff that our Rovers do. I will never hear the last best quirk or glitch. I am not familiar with this issue. One fix comes to mind: Remove the face of the analog clock and remove/replace the minute hand...
