OMG..LR4 glove box replacement
Just wanted to share this pig of a job with you all. Son told me his glovebox [upper portion] had broken. Sure enough one of the plastic hinges had sheared off so the box hung open sideways. I purchased a complete glove box assy from a breaker. Now for the fun. I think JLR built the car around... -

ok, son's LR4. live 4 hrs away. His job sends him out by air for weeks at a time. He just returned today from 6 weeks away to a totally dead battery again. 2011 lr4 started popping the CEL today. code p0174. i know this is lean code for bank 2. Thinking possibly PCV valves as they have never been renewed to my knowledge or possible upstream 02 sensor. what is the most likely cause on these vehicles? -

thoughts on supercharged 3.0v6 vs. ingenium 3.0I6/48v
Still looking for a D5. I orignally thought that i would only consider the 21+ with the ingenium 6 mild hybrid boost. I have driven a couple and the powerplant is silky smooth and powerful. I was offput a little on the SCv6 since we own an LR4..dont like the plastic cooling pipes, timing chain...- ugmw177

Hi, Ok son called me. He has isolated p0101 code on his 2011 lr4 v8. no drivability issues. Told him to get some MAF cleaner and clean both sensors and make sure pigtails are securely fastened. Any other suggestions from others that have seen this code? -

whine on cold start
Ok my son's 2011 v8. Started it up yesterday [coldish morning 30 f], pretty audible whine coming from front at idle. continued to whine for a fefw minutes. when warmed it whine went away. Sounded kind of like a bearing whine. any ideas? perhaps idler bearing for belt? alternator bearing? Not... -

2011 LR4 immobilzer questions..
Has anyonne else had the folowing happen and what was the solution: my son called me yesterday and stated the LR4 would not start. he had the smart key in his pocket and car unlocked itself normally when he approached. he sat down, put foot on brake and pressed start button. Nothing. no dash... -

'11 LR4 lower contol arm drama...
ok, so I spent the better part of yesterday replacing my son's LR4 Lower Control Arms. I went with the Meyle HD units from Lucky 8. [seem to be really nice stuff]. Car has about 97k miles and i do not want to do this again. Anyhow, in case anyone else is facing this soon, thought i woould advise...
