Lower Tailgate Moulding crooked on many LR3's
I've noticed that the lower outside tailgate moulding that is about 8 inches high and runs the entire back of the lower tailgate where it meets the bumper has a much tighter gap on the left side than the right side. K & N Filter increases mpg?
I run a K & N filter on my 06 LR3 V8 and it alone resulted in a .5 mpg increase with everything else being equal. I hate to ruin a good story with facts, but the filters are great and there is nothing to worry about. -

How are you getting 20mpg?
If I reset my avg fuel economy screen when on the highway it will show my new instant mpg over 20 mpg. When I get back in town after a day or so of driving stop and go, it will go back to 16.6 avg mpg until it is reset again on the highway. I have a K & S air filter on mine that has improved... -

Buying a LR3 or maybe a LR2
I bought a used 06 LR3 and absolutely love it. I immediately got rid of the goodyears and put on michelins and a K & N air filter. My LR3 get 20 mpg on the highway, 15'5 around town and 16.5 combined. I'm happy with that. I also put on the OEM 19 inch wheels and the cross bars on the roof... -

LR3 roof rack Cross Bars whistling noise
Does anyone know any secrets to reducing the whistle from the cross bars? The whistle I have is intermittent but happens at speeds over 50 mph. I heard that teflon tape on the back side of the bars may help? Thanks! -
