Does anyone know any secrets to reducing the whistle from the cross bars? The whistle I have is intermittent but happens at speeds over 50 mph. I heard that teflon tape on the back side of the bars may help? Thanks!

Or repositioning the bars to a slightly different slot to get them out of the wind draft.

I read once that a piece of the "soft" side of a velcro tape applied along the rear edge on top will stop the noise.

I did the velcro thing and the whistle noise is gone. One minor problem is that it shrinks under the sun and gets wrinkly and leaves residue on the cross bar.
