Over the last couple of days, when I make a left turn under some power, I am hearing some grinding, like something in the front right tire area is grinding with something. I had all the upper/lower control arms done about 20k ago, I only have big BFGs and the rod mod.
Any ideas?
Thanks...
First real hot day here in NYC and running the AC for 30 minutes produced semi-cold air. Anyone do a recharge on a LR3? Any advice on where to start and what to do...
Its a 05 with 67k on it...
Thanks in advance...
For a 05 ? I am setting up the dual system and noticed there are different "ratings," for the yellow top battery. Which one is the right one or does it not matter.
Thanks in advance...
Hey Gang,
Quick questions, installed a roof top tent and new rack/gas can holder on the LR3 this weekend and noticed when I rasised the truck in offroad mode I got a couple messages about "will raise once system cools down, etc..."
My question is would the extra weight on the truck make...
So, the dealership STILL cannot find the grinding noise that happens when I turn (sounds like my tires are rubbing sorta sound) Not the tires, not the bushings, not the wheel bearings, not the tires but it is something.
My questions is, when you are turning, the differential is under the...
Gang,
I've got a set of BFG AT/TAs 265/65/18. Wondering what the normal street pressure should be set at. The guy who installed them always pumps them to 50 but the dealership lowered it considerably when I brought it in to get my bushings installed.
Any general rule?
Thanks in advance...
There's actually not a lot of play at all, especially not after all the bushings I had replaced.
Do the bearings make a grinding, like the tires are rubbing or the traction control is slipping? I thought bearings sound more like a or something...
Turned the dcs off and on and no difference. It was in the dealership to also get the antisway bar bushings replaced and they said that might be the noise...I don't agree.
The cv joint boots are fine, I was thinking wheel bearings?
Thanks Nathan,
I just regressed the steering stops if thats what you mean, they were dry. Problem still persists. Was thinking cv joints or something with the drivetrain?
Problem... When I turn I hear grinding. Thought it was the traction control but no faults found. Thinking it might have something to due with the rod mods, because I hear it more in offroad mode while turning..
They can't see any issue? Any ideas? What get stretched by the extended travel...
I was actually just testing the new compressor that was recently installed and had it in offroad mode on my block. I made a U turn and thats when I heard it.
