    Seat Covers for LR4

Just don't put covers over your front seat backs. Placing anything over the seams where the airbags are directed could cause serious injury in an accident.

2011 LR4 HSE LUX question about display and mirrors

I owned a early 2011 LR4 HSR Lux and the folding mirrors was not available. That option was removed.

2011 LR4 HSE LUX Mirror Auto Fold ?

I owned a early 2011 LR4 HSE Lux and it did not have folding mirrors. It was a deleted option.

    Stock Conti's

I never had an issue with the stock Conti's but when I switched to the Michelin Latitudes the track on snow was significantly better and they were a bit quieter.

    Frustration with '14 availability

I wasn't going to purchase a V6 without driving one so I decided to go with a Cayenne. If there was normal availability I would still be in a LR4.

    LR4 Withdrawal

It has now been just over a week since I traded my '11 LR4 HSE Lux for a '14 Cayenne Base. Thought some of you might like to know the good and the bad. First I would have liked to get a new LR4 but here are some of the reasons I looked elsewhere. 1) The dealer had no '14's with the...

standard 5 seats or 7 seater?

I would have liked the option for a 5 seat version when I picked up my '11. For me the 3rd row is just ~150 lbs of extra weight.

So I drove the 2014 Today

If I remember correctly when I test drove a new RRS awhile back I was told that the start stop function does not engage if the engine is not yet warmed up or if the AC is required. Examples of when the car will perform an Eco Stop: - The car comes to a complete stop - The driver’s foot...

    A few issues with 2010 lr4 HSE.

If you walk back up to the vehicle without the smart-key in your pocket are the doors locked or unlocked. If you have the key in your pocket you don't have to hit the button the doors will unlock automatically.

    Winter tire advice needed

In another thread I mentioned that I replaced my Conti's with Michelin Latitudes hoping that they would be better in the snow. Well we have had a lot of snow covered roads the past few days and the new Michelin's are significantly better in these conditions. I was never comfortable from day one...

    "Only Normal Height Available" display

My 2011 has recently randomly started showing that same message in the display. If I get the message I have to pull into the garage or parking spot, turn off the ignition, the put the switch into the lower vehicle position and it will let the vehicle drop down.

    2014 LR4 lux delivery

I don't care for the change to a rotary knob from a shifter. There are times when I am driving that I rest my hand on the shifter. Also with the new console design we have lost that hole/space where you could place your phone. I am going to miss that V-8.

    Lr4 Brakes

Had the front and rear pads and rotors changed on my '11 LR4 with 46k on the clock. The cost was $1847 including tax. With the dealerships "rewards" program I get 20% of that on my account towards the purchase of my next vehicle. I should have also been given a jar of Vaseline.

    anyone drive V6 yet?

I was at my dealer last Thursday getting my first set of brakes on my '11 at 46k. While I was waiting I decided to take a new RR Sport with the new engine for a test drive. In the RRS the engine seemed powerful enough but with the 8 speed trans didn't seem to pull as fast as the V8 in my LR4...

    Snowflake symbol in center display

I would give up the heated seats before the heated steering wheel. I have had that in my last several vehicles and love it.

    2014 LR4 on Landrover.com

As I understand we can bypass the start-stop here in the US but not so in Europe.

    Official 2014 Changes to LR4

The problem is they are short sighted. Currently they can sell all of the LR4's they can build with China market the fastest growing for them. I believe third behind the US and UK.

    Real MPG

I just took a 1001 mile trip. Used 44.6 gallons of gas for a 22.4 average MPG. The built in trip fuel consumption indicated 20.6.

    Lr4 Brakes

Yes, it was for pads and rotors. I am going to call the other two LR dealers in the area to see what their price is.

    Lr4 Brakes

I just had my "11 with 42,000 miles in for some service yesterday and during the inspection they indicated that my front pads were down to 4mm and quoted $964 for performing replacement. The rears are at 7mm and will be good for a while now. I am not going to perform the service myself but that...

    Alignments

I was busy this week when I decided to keep my '11 for another year. At just over 42k miles I replaced the tires on Wednesday, has the heated windshield replaced Thursday, and had the oil changed and a wheels aligned at the dealer on Friday. The cost of the wheel alignment was quoted at...

    New Tires

This surprises me. It seems like everyone I have talked to thought the Lat Tour HP's were one of the quietest road tires yet you feel the Perelli ATR's are at least as quiet? I have no need for off road capable tires but I would like something that is a tad quieter than the Conti's but have...

    New Tires

You are correct I was looking at the Latitude Tour HP. I was looking for something that was at least as quiet as the Conti's but would be better in light snow. The Conti's are not good at all in that aspect.

    New Tires

I am now up to ~42,000 miles on my Conti's and I am heading for a short trip next week so I figured it is time to switch tires. No sense in taking a chance on the highway. Has anyone had any luck with Michelin Latitudes?
