After crawling around under the LR for an hour the location of the missing heat shield was not determined. So I called my local independent LR garage and they put another LR3 up on a lift. Then we found where my shield came off. It is the heat shield that goes next to the front muffler... -

Brake pads that work well when cold
I installed Wagner Thermo-Quiet Ceramic pads. They are a little expensive but very little dust and they grab right away, hot or cold. -

Where does this heat shield go?
A couple of weeks ago a heat shield fell off from some where on the bottom of our LR3 We retrieved the old one from the road, was able to read the part number, and order a new one. However, the local LR dealer does not know where the shield is to be mounted. Could anyone on this forum help... -

Disabling interior lights turing on when you open a door
Thanks umbertob. I knew the center button would turn off the interior lights but I never knew that they could be reset to go on or off. It's not anywhere in the manuals that I have seen. All of these tricks should be posted in a sticky. Thanks again. -

3rd Brake Light
The high mount brake light on my LR3 is coming loose. Any ideas on how the secure it before it falls off? It is loose on one side and I can push it back into place with a lot of force but it does not stay in place. Thanks -

Interior temperature
Thanks, tlt. I was just curious as I thought that there might be an interior sensor to communicate with the temperature settings. Even my Suburban has an interior sensor, but it is also like heating and cooling a barn so I do not know what good it is. -

Is there any setting that will allow the message center to indicate the interior temperature of the LR3? Ours currently reads the outside temperature. Has anyone tried this? Thanks -

DLR on a US LR3
Drl Thanks, cmb6s. My thought was that since Canadian cars have DRLs and they are all part of the NAS market, that there might be a way to enable them on US cars. I do not understand why US market cars are not required to have them, but that is that way it is. Thanks, again. -

Horn sound when locking the car with the remote
Is there a way to have the horn sound when locking the car with the remote? My wife is used to having the horn sound in addition to the lights flashing when she locks the car. Is there a way to do that with a 2008 LR3? Thanks. -

How to check the battery voltage with the settings menu
Well, I read the voltage after the car had sat overnight. It fluctuated between 11.5 and 12v. I guess a battery is on my LR3's Christmas list. Thanks, all. -
