No, it never overheated or had a leak problem but I followed posts on this forum warning about casastrophic cooling failures when the crossovers ruptured. Seemingly, that happens post-50k mikes, so I thought I might just as well get them changed to be safe. Never had a cooling issue but was told... -

Yes, i haven't been able to do anything with it yet, It's got new water lump, fron and rear crossovers so if there's a slow coolant leak it isn't those. With the oem alloy rims and scorpions I'd take 8k. -

I’m 86 and can’t drive any longer and want to sell my 2916 LR4 HSE. . C 55 k miles, I had the crossovers and water pump replaced prophylactically at 50k. Rear brake lines replaced a few months ago. There is now apparently a slow coolant leak according to Indie, Very clean, no body damage... -

My LR was state inspected June 2024. At that time I was advised that I might need a new brake line due to observed rust. It’s likely, but I don’t know yet, that the line ruptured although there’s no fluid anywhere. I’m in New England and the road salt is pretty heavy in winter. I’ll try to talk... -

According to the manual I need to remove the engine cover on the driver side. I looked and afraid I’m not agile or strong enough to do that. It’s puzzling because the car spent 3 weeks in the garage and there’s not a drop of anything on the concrete. -

I just had crossover pipe replaced on my 2016 LR4 by local indie ar 50,000.k He had it running to get air out of system when the new pipe ruptured. Preventive maintenance advice- 2016 LR4
My 2016 LR4 has 46,000 miles on it. Bought new. I'm 83 and this might well be my last vehicle if it'll make it another few years. Is it worth changing the crossover pipes prophylactically? Water pump? What advice do you guys have for having stuff done before it happens to me on the road? Also... -

Is HD package so useful in snow?
2016 LR4 here in Vermont! Bought new without the HD package. It handles snow like a champ. I go through deep drifts when my road isn't plowed without any problem. Intermittent burning smell?
When my 2016 LR4 was new it had intermittently sticking front brake pads - the pistons would freeze and the pads and rotors got smelly hot. It was intermittent and sometimes didn't last long but I could smell it especially if the heater was on. It also stank up my garage with a sort of burning... -

i think the CPI terms have changed. For the worse. They now count years from date of original sale, not from date of used vehicle purchase. -
