    2013 LR4 5.0 Serpentine Belt issue

As an update it looks like the AC Compressor is locked up. Looks like I'll be replacing this and the ac condenser. The only AC problem i noticed before this was it took driving down the road for the ac to start to cool down. That should have popped something in my head but didnt. Anyone have any...

    2013 LR4 5.0 Serpentine Belt issue

I managed to work the serpentine belt aka accessory belt around all the pulleys. I started up and everything was running fine. Then noticed it started smoking a little. Is the power steering pump pulley supposed to turn freely by hand when not under pressure from the belt? I'm wondering if maybe...

    Beware: OEM vs Garbage

I think I was the other person having problems that you mentioned seating the part. The Genuine Land Rover part seemed better for only 10$ more. My main problem seemed to be barely perceivable gunk on the inner wall. I could see where the old pipe left some really hard residue in spots. After I...

    Coolant Leak, not holding vacuum

Just as an update to this the cheap part (10$ cheaper and the genuine part pretty much the same). I think my major issue was the original had been there so long that either coolant or micro pieces of the plastic were attached to the inside wall of the block where the crossover went in. With my...

    Coolant Leak, not holding vacuum

Thanks but its a different part number and looks different for the 2010-2013 V8. Appreciate it though.

    Coolant Leak, not holding vacuum

I'm convinced. I've asked for a refund, hopefully I'll get one. Dealer says they have 3 coming in tomorrow.

    Coolant Leak, not holding vacuum

Ok i put in a new water pump, thermostat, oil cooler seals and installed an aluminum version of the oil cooler pipe. I've got everything back on and now I'm back to the front crossover pipe. It's not OEM , its a part Atlantic British sells (all makes 4x4 china) who I've bought from in the past...

    Coolant Leak, not holding vacuum

Should I replace the oil cooler gasket too while I there? Don't know if I have to remove that also when replacing the oil cooler inlet tube. Guess I'll be looking up a forum post on replacing the water pump now.

    Coolant Leak, not holding vacuum

Yea I put the little cap back on the front crossover and I did have to pull pieces of the front crossover out of the block when replacing. I'm pretty sure I seated the front crossover as far as it will go down into the block. Can still see the top bit of the orings on the front crossover. I'm...

    Coolant Leak, not holding vacuum

I tore apart my 2013 LR4 last weekend and replaced the front crossover pipe. Rear crossover appears to have been replaced recently (really hard to get back there). I put everything back together and went to drain the system of as much coolant as possible. Vacuum tool was not holding pressure. I...

Rear Crossover (Heater Manifold) failure mode?

Working on the front and rear crossover replacement now. Front was definitely the issue for me. Back looks fine but I'm going to replace it as long as I can reach the screws with a flexible extension(yet to ship). Not too worried about any issues bleeding the air out of the system. Noticed when...

    Replacing the accessory drive belt?

This took me a ridiculously long time when I did it. Ended up buying the tool directly from Bosch. Ruined more than a couple belts. The key for me was the tool and an extra person. I had the extra person rotate the belt with a socket wrench and I was on the left side when facing the front of the...

My Day for Dumb Questions-Engine Rotation Direction

I'm doing this now because I'm replacing the stretch belt and in the diagram for replacement you rotate the crank clockwise to put the belt on. I've done this already so it's it's wrong i'm screwed. Don't 100% trust me though cause this is my first time working on my 2013 LR4 V8. But at least...

LR4 whining noise turned into a loud clicking noise now

Here was my jacked up cooling fan pulley that was just spinning around freely and I was never able to get enough leverage so I cut off the fan.

LR4 whining noise turned into a loud clicking noise now

Update: I've been lucky having the extra time to be lazy and take my time with the Land Rover. I ended up having to cut the fan clutch spindle. The Cooling Fan Belt pulley had the bolts sheared off so there was no was no way I was going to get the fan off. Ended up buying a re-manufactured Fan...

LR4 whining noise turned into a loud clicking noise now

Ok Started the vehicle up and then shut it down. Realized the secondary belt was missing that drives the viscous cooling fan. Must have happened after my wife drove 5 min down the road to McDonalds. So buying a secondary belt and since I gotta take alot out feel like I should replace the idler...

LR4 whining noise turned into a loud clicking noise now

Just bought this LR4 a few months back. The clicking noise just started today. I heard a slight whining before that seemed to be the idler pulley. Any ideas? I've attached a video. All these noises are while the vehicle idling.
