2" Lift (before) you fit 265/75/r16 to stock DII ?
Thanks for that basstard440 - I am going to eventually go with skid plates, ARB Front bumper, a 10k Winch, rock sliders, etc.. so she'll be putting on a few pounds and I think the HD setup is going to be perfect for where I am going with my DII project. I also might run the OME setup... -

Looks good mate, I need lift! So what's the verdict, I want the O.M.E HD's , right? Going to get the Old Man Emu steering damper too and just do it all with OME when $ becomes a reality again :biggrin: -

I think I am going to go with the Old Man Emu heavy duty setup (springs, shocks) which will give me 1.5" lift, along and 1" spacers... and i'll have 2.5" or so. But, no rubbing right now - only minor rubbing on the water bottle, which I need to relocate anyway. Didn't do it at all today on the... -

Got 265 75 r16 - Goodyear Wrangler LT's, which are supposed to be good off and on road. The tire style is tall, reminds me of the old stock RRC tires ; they didn't have a ton of road noise on the way home, but I did hear a little rubbing in reverse while turning... I think it's the metal... -

I had exactly the same problem with my 65k mi '99 DII... Messed with wheel speed sensors for months, before finally just replacing the wabco ABS modulator (not cheap) after I took it to an indy LR shop to have them put it on the Rovacom ; and it came back with a couple of 'shuttle valve stuck'... -

Are there various modes that the DII alarm goes into? Lately mine has been honking the horn when I lock the doors. Does that mean one of the door sensors is shot and it's telling the system that a door is open? It works fine, except for over night ; when I walk up to my truck in the... -

DII Grinding Noise - help!!
I am 90% sure now that the sound I am hearing is the muffler vibrating against the subframe. I took a metal plate and pushed it between the muffler + the frame = voila, no more odd noise when in D at a light this morning. -

Well, did the driveshafts ; put in the Precision u-joints from Napa. One side note - if you need to turn the driveshaft to get to all the bolts, jacking the truck up on one (side) works great. I'm sure you guys knew that. The sound is still there ; I've attributed it to what (I think) is a... -

DII Grinding Noise - help!!
There is a pretty big price difference between the local parts stores : Napa carries the 'Precision' Brand for $29.99 ea And Kragen has GMB U-joints for only $12.99 ea Pretty sizable difference in price. I thought I heard somewhere that the GMB ones are unfavorable. What's your opinion? -

So I'll assume I need to remove the front prop shaft, and test the u joins by turning the shaft in opposite directions ; obviously replacing both of them makes sense as it is. What brand do you use Joey? I hear to stay away from Nepco or something ; does Spicer make a u joint for our... -

DII Grinding Noise - [SOLVED] I had a 99 DII previously, got into this 2000 - and it's making a grinding / vibration noise in D, and N , which feels like its coming from under the truck on the driver's side. I've crawled under the truck in an attempt to figure this out - and see what's grinding...
