LR4 "Gearbox not in Park" - Dial shifter stuck in Drive
I fixed it by getting to the TCS, disconnecting then unplugging & reconnecting the jumpers. When I turned on the vehicle, the knob went down and into park. Longer story was I followed the guide in the link @nechekan, then added a zip tie to never have it lock again. I uploaded a video of it...- jonathandc

Sliding out the dashboard wasn’t the easiest for my 2014 LR4 (a weekend job), but it is possibleand not $4000…just patience along with some gloves, T30, T25, T20, 10mm, Philips Head, flashlight, flexible drill extension, razor blade, decent magnet, & trim tools (stiff plastic).
