    Radiator Replacement

How was it refilling the coolant system? I have to replace my radiator too and don’t want to F up the vacuum fill. Any tips?

    Timing chain…

Might be above my pay grade to further diagnose as you suggest. Are cam actuator degrees and timing PIDs something I can see with the gap tool? The maintenance you had on yours, was it throwing misfire codes too? Are you saying here the misfires and possible chain slack are related? What part...

    Timing chain…

145k miles, 2013 LR4 5.0 with original timing chain. Can anyone provide opinions on this sound from cold start, and how much slack is on the chain through the oil cap? I'd estimate I could push the chain down like a half inch or so, pressing decently ******* it. The past month or so, it's been...

Is this a failing crossover pipe?

Radiator was done at Land Rover dealer, as was all the other stuff. I agree it’s weird for it be leaking already.

    Engine Misfire

First troubleshooting step I did was swap the plug and coil between cylinder 5 and 1, and the misfire did not follow.

    Engine Misfire

I recently started getting exact same 305/316 combo after filling up. 2013 LR4 with 145k miles. Interestingly, it started immediately after sorting out an evap system leak where a connector above the gas tank wasn’t fully seated. I was getting consistent p0456 faults before. Now that those...

Is this a failing crossover pipe?

No leak from rear crossover area. I see a bit of coolant on bottom driver side corner of the radiator, and around where the large hose just above that connects to radiator. With 50k miles on front crossover, thermostat, etc, and a bunch of original hoses at 140k, I was thinking I should...

Is this a failing crossover pipe?

Jumping in here to ask some advice about my LR4 w/ 142k miles. I have dealer service records from the previous owner, where I can see that the front crossover pipe, thermostat, water pump, and some but not all hoses were replaced at 90k, and rear coolant manifold and radiator were replaced at...

Solved - Which Motive Power Bleeder for LR4?

Good on all of that, but doesn't answer my question about the ABS procedure.. My understanding is you do the ABS thing using the GAP tool after bleeding all four corners. So again, my question is, do you still pressurize the reservoir with the motive while doing the ABS procedure?

Solved - Which Motive Power Bleeder for LR4?

Thanks for your reply. So that's a yes? For the ABS procedure, you would indeed have the motive attached and pressurized? Same as when bleeding each corner?

Solved - Which Motive Power Bleeder for LR4?

Thanks for this. When you do the ABS procedure, do you also use the motive to pressurize the brake fluid reservoir?

    Intro and oil type/interval/filter questions

Can you possibly explain how to change the power steering fluid using the mityvac? I have one and it's incredible for oil changes. I recently needed to rebuild my vacuum pump, so I just extracted the oil into the mityvac, worked on the vacuum pump with no oil loss, and then pumped it right back...

Part Number for 2013 LR4 Sway Bar Bushings

I want to replace the front sway bar bushings on my 2013 LR4. I see both LR018346 and LR015339 listed as the correct part on different sites. Atlantic British has LR015339 poly bushings and says compatible w/ LR3 and LR4. Other sites that have LR015339 say it's not compatible with LR4, and...

    Adding Upgrades to My 2012 LR4 -

Howdy, can you shed some like on how you trimmed the frame horns? Did you need to weld a new flat piece back on after cutting?

When storing a deflated spare that has to be squeezed in there for a tight fit, is there any issue like a flat spot caused by the constant deflection?

Oil leak showing up behind alternator?

Dumb question: is the "right front upper timing cover" as described in that service note the same as the passenger side valve cover? I've heard that the "valve cover" is also sometimes referred to as the "timing cover". If different, is one an easier DIY than the other and can anyone point me to...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

I just put on MT Baja Boss AT 265/65r18 onto Tuffant Kimberleys and have a fair bit of rubbing close to full lock on the corners of the frame horns. I got two quotes for cutting/welding- one said $150-$200 total. The other shop said 6 hours @ $200/hr which including installing a battery...

Oil leak showing up behind alternator?

Came back after a couple days and there are new drips present. I can see it from as high up as the lower front outside edge of the valve cover. Having a tough time getting a visual on anything further back, or underneath the oil filter housing. Going to need to remove some stuff to get a better...

Tuffant Simpson 18" Alloys in Smoked Gray

MT Baja Boss AT 265/65r18 on Tuffant Kimberley’s ! One inch lift with GAP tool. Getting pretty significant rubbing at full lock and even slightly before full lock. All of you who cut the frame horns down- did you DIY that or take to a shop? How much should I expect that to cost?

Just had new tires put on and had the shops mechanic look at the suspension. He said nothing looked bad but need an alignment. Going to do that and evaluate
