Tuck harder. Be prepared to fish for one or two of those very sturdy metal clips that hold the tabs in place, sometimes they pop out. -
Using the 12v trunk plug without cutting out after 3 minutes?
This is the fault code stored in the BCM. You can successfully clear it with a diagnostic tool (I use an IIDTool), but it will pop right back up on the next restart. Once you plug the relay back in, it will clear for good. -
OIl Leak - top of engine
Oil filter cartridge cover or its o-ring could be the culprits, although you say you didn't remove the filter upon changing oil... Why didn't you, anyway? Remove cover, pop filter off (might as well replace it now), closely check for tiny cracks in the housing, change o-ring regardless of... -

LR4 vs Defender
The vacuum method is the only one left actually, I don't believe the new engines even have a drain plug on the bottom of the sump so you don't get a choice. Also, it looks like the tube for the dipstick does double duty as the vacuum pipe - so the 710 cap is only used for fills and top ups. -

Actually, the LR4 doesn't have a raised air intake available, since the petrol engine has air intakes on both sides of the car. The LR3 did as its engine only breathed on one side. The Defender's is a RAI, not a snorkel - and it appears to be very cheaply built judging by the PowerfulUK fitting... -

Limb risers. The steel cables can keep heavy brush and tree branches from hitting the windshield when you venture off-road. Another way of using those hoops at the outer edges of the hood is as tie-downs for canoes, kayaks or other long objects loaded on the roof. -

The rear rotor is smaller (363 mm 4 piston front, 350 mm single piston rear), so the clearance issue must be a chunky rear caliper. Haven't seen it in the flesh, though. -
