95 disco transmission over heat light on...HELP!

Out of nowhere the transmission over heat fluid light came on...Tranny still shifting good. Wonder if it is a sensor or something much deeper. Has anyone got any expierance in this matter?

First things first, check the fluid level to make sure you are not leaking fluid. Second I would spend a couple dollars and have the Transmission checked. Yes you can change the temp sensor and it may be the issue, but on the off chance that this is something more... find it now before it costs you $3000.00 to get your transmission fixed.

Gonna hav it looked at today by mechanic...He agrees on the temp sensor...It was still on this morning and it was 44 degrees. Maybe a loose wire or bad sensor. Let you know later...Thanks!
