As I discussed in a earlier thread, my 2000 Disco II has the dreaded 3-amigos issue. Joey was kind enough to recommend cleaning the ABS sensors, which I am in the process of completing. I remembered I had the codes pulled a couple of weeks ago, and the code relevant to this issue is as follows:
P1590 - ABS Road Signal Circuit Malfunction.
The error code description from the RAVE CD-ROM Manual states the following:
P1590 - ABS Road Signal Circuit Malfunction. Hardware is OK, but SLABS ECU is sending an error signal
Does this mean I won't have to buy any new hardware to fix the problem? Will simply cleaning the ABS sensors clear the 3-amigos error? And, once I clean the ABS sensors, will I have to have a shop clear the 3-amigos, or will they clear automatically once I clean them (assuming they are the problem)?
And, the passenger side rotor is stuck and will not budge. Any suggestions on how to remove the frozen rotor so I can get to the ABS sensor?
Thanks again for your help!
