i just bought the 12 LR4 HSE. after pairing the iphone 4s successfully to the car via bluetooth, i tried to do the same with my samsung galaxy nexus phone and i cannot do it. i get to the point where i am prompted by the screen that my nexus wants to pair and i click yes. i then enter 0000 on the screen ( i have also tried 1234 and 2121 other times as well). the screen says that the pair was successful but then my phone prompts me to enter a password on it again. i have tried this numerous times (whereas the iphone took only 1 try) and i cannot get it paired and working. i have also rebooted my phone and tried again to no avail.
bottom line- the car screen shows 2 phones successfully paired but my samsung prompts me for the password and will not be paired with the car. i then start the cycle over again to try the pairing and have failed.
any ideas? the landrover website says for the samsung galaxy nexus i should enter 2121 which i tried. my phone says to use 0000 or 1234 which failed.
