battery or what?

Hi, have a 96 disc, orginal owner. Old surf dude.
got in rove the other day, turned on key, nothing happened, dimming lights, lot of clicking.
got a jump, got home put charger on battery, next day, no start till i jumped it. next day ,no start dead, jumped it no problems for 3 days. shop says battery has one low cell. cleaned all connections, today started went to store got in no start, everything dead. shop says to go with better battery. From the beginning there was no sign battery was going bad, has always started.
I swear i heared a thump, like running over stck, just before this all started. also anyone know a good shop in Virginia Beach VA? Thanks VArover

You need a new battery, but not sure about a shop at the beach. LR batteries are good for 4 to 5 years at best.
